LOST Theories - DarkUFO

OK SO THIS IS A RESPONSE TO THE GRANDER PLOT OF LOST POSTER WHO POSED ALL THESE MYSTERY QUESTIONS. HERE THEY ARE EXPLAINED:

Sir, For doubting lost you’re an idiot. Here are all your answers explained because I hate fact that people are disappointed with the show when they can’t take 2 minutes and figure it all out.

-Why was the smoke monster able to scan people, read their memories, take on their appearance, etc.?
The smoke monster was the epitomy of evil. He was like the devil. As dogen put it “evil incarnate”. Evil could take on the appearance of DEAD people only.

-Why (for what purpose) were Locke & Rose healed? Why was that able to happen?
Locke and Rose were healed because of the light on the island. Being in tune with the island and believing in it allows the island to heal you. You have faith and “god”= the light will heal.

-Why would a sonic fence keep Smokey out? Why would it be able to keep him out if he could go as high as a treetop (pilot)? The sonic fence didn’t keep smokey out. It was a barrier. Protecting the people inside the fence. He couldn’t go through the fence because it was designed with the same electromagnetism that created smokey. He couldn’t touch it.

-Why was Walt special? Why did it matter to our story, esp. the Others’ interest in him?
Walt was special because the longer your on the island, the more intune you are with it. If you were the from birth you grow with the island and are able to do special things. Also Walt as a child was pure and innocent and had a sort of tabula rosa. He wasn’t faced with the same problems and issues as our castaways and was therefore more pure, like the island light.

-Why the insistence that Claire MUST raise Aaron?
Claire must raise Aaron because she is his mother. Aaron was born on the island, like Jacob. If raised on the island he would have been as powerful as Jacob and the MIB, therefore so that no one else influences him and uses him to their advantage he must stay with his mother so that he remains pure.

-Why the insistence that Aaron must be baptized?
Aaron was baptized so that he could move on with every1 else at the church. This allowed him to be born in the sideways and it allowed him to move on with the rest of the group.

-Why did the Others kidnap the children?
Because children are pure and innocent and more in-tune with the heart of the island. They posses powers and abilities that adults who are filled with sin and tragedy cant posses. The children are pure, they are more creative, more innocent, more connect with the island.

-Why did the Others kidnap Cindy? Why some and not others of the survivors and tailies?
Cindy was someone that the children could relate to and make it easy for the others to make the children listen to them. She was a good camp counselor kind of.

-Why the emphasis on Annie?- There was no emphasis on Annie. This was created by the fans. (dumb fans who don’t understand what lost was about)
-Why the apparent psychological experiment of spying on the Swan occupants? ( This was Dharma. Dharma had no idea what the hell they were doing on the Island. Everything they did except build the hatch was pointless)
-Why emphasize the apparent importance of what was found in the abandoned Dharma station the Tailies found? Even the film clip didn’t seem to matter much. (See this is clearly something the fans stressed, not the writers or the story. It’s like reading a book and asking why the writer spent time describing the scene instead of just progressing the plot, because adds to the richness of the context)
-Why did Ms. Klugh insist on death? (Ms. Klugh knew that the island mission was important then her own life. She was ready to sacrifice herself for the island)
-Why was Mikhail resurrected at least once? (Jacob/the island needed him so he wasn’t resurrected, he was healed.)
-Why did someone keep dropping food to the Swan over a decade after the Purge? (actually, I guess the Why is b/c the button did keep needing to be pressed… or did it? No one released that pent-up EM energy after the second Incident (the Swan implosion), so the real question, maybe, is who did it?) ---This is the one thing I am completely unsure about, I think the writers will explain it later.
-How did Ben heal Juliet’s sister? – He didn’t, he lied!
-Why did ash (presumably always Jacob’s ash) stop Smokey? Jacob’s essence stops smokey. He is the protector of the island. He gets unlimited god-like powers. Only god can stop the devil. Your surround the devil with god’s spirit and you will trap him.
-Why was Kate’s off-island dream & vision-phone-call re: Aaron so emphasized?
It showed that she cared about him so deeply. And she was feeling guilt and remorse over taking aaron from Claire, it’s the whole reason she went back to the island.
-Why the emphasis on the importance of Amy burying the Others?
Burying people meant that smokey couldn’t take their form. (that’s kinda obvious no?)
-Why kill baby Alex?
Widmore wanted it done cuz he is an evil bastard.
-What really happened to the French team? (smokey killed them)
-Why did Ethan become seriously evil and join the Others? He didn’t become evil. The others weren’t evil. They were commited to the island and protecting it. He was just doing his best to protect the island, his home that he was born and raised on.
-Why were there course-correction cops? Why course correction at all in this story?
-Course correction exists because destiny exists. Some of our characters like desmond have been given the power to transcend destiny and alter the course of history. This can’t be allowed. If desmond never came back to the island and never pushed the button, the island and the world would have been destroyed.
-Why did Ajira need to re-create some of the circumstances of the first flight?
Because live together, die alone!. These characters formed a special bond when traveling to the island. Them being together is what brought them to the island along with Jacob’s touch.

-Why did some of them get zapped back to the 70s while the rest didn’t?
The candidates got zapped back to the 70s. Sun didn’t cuz she wasn’t a candidate. Locke didn’t cuz he was dead.

-Why was the donkey wheel frozen?- This I don’t know about. I am assuming Jacob did it so that no one can use it. Or so he thought.
-Why the time-distortion effects?
The island is magical it has the ability to move in time or space to protect itself from outsiders.

-Why could Jacob leave if MIB couldn’t?
Jacob is the protector of the island. He gets certain powers. He can do whatever he wants.

-Why burn Jacob’s cabin? (I can’t remember much about Bram & Ilana, but there was much they did that it seemed would make sense later, and ultimately, never made any sense.)
They burned Jacob’s cabin because it was inhabited by the MIB. It was a precaution to ensure smokey couldn’t return there and retrieve something he forgot. I am pretty sure that dagger was there. And there is more than 1 cuz dogen had another one)

-Why was WhoeverItWas “trapped” in the cabin? Smokey was running free – was it only Smokey’s body, looking like Christian, pretending to be Jacob – but then, he was running around looking like Christian & Yemi outside the ring, anyway…He was able to roam around the island. Obviously someone broke the ash ring around the circle and he was able to roam free. He wasn’t trapped. That was a con to get Locke to believe he was there. This started the MIB’s long con of john Locke.

-Why did Jacob bring all those folks to the island, if he was only broadcasting (and apparently causing to have supernatural effects, like winning the lottery) the numbers of the final six?
Ugh you guys are sooooo dumb. He brought every1 there because they needed to be there. Each one of the characters was connected in such a way that by bringing them all together, they became a family and a community and were able to learn and grow from each other. They were all needed to form that bond that they did, which was why they were able to create the FS world and meet each other in death. Because of this strong bong that they had and because of all these people that they learned from and had shared experiences with = the whole point of the show!

-Why did Jughead send them back to the exact point in time they wanted to be, lol? But only the Losties! And not Sun!
Sun wasn’t there when Jughead exploded. I am guessing jughead didn’t send them forward in time. I think that they were about to die and Jacob summoned them to the island. (At this point Jacob dies and so I think his spirit was able to transcend time and summon them to the island. He knew that it was time for the end of the game.)
-Why was Jacob associated with Egyptian symbolism (tapestry in the Foot, giant ankh, etc.)? He wasn’t He came during the times of the Romans.. The egyption ties are to show that the Island even predates Jacob and has been around since the beginning of time, because it is the source of all good and evil and life and rebirth and all that.
-Why was the island intact & at the bottom of the sea in the FST?
It wasn’t. This was just the producers showing us what would happen if smokey won. This never happened because Jack saved the day. This is called pre-emptive false foreshadowing. Good thing it confused idiots like yourself

-Why the differences between the Island timeline and the FST? (Sun/Jin relationship, Dharma-but-not-really, Sawyer a cop, etc.)
THE FST had no time!!!! It wasn’t real. It was the spiritual plane that their souls went to meet up before they all moved on. It was their place of being able to work out their remaining issues. (READ ROBZ recap…it makes more sense how there is no time in the FST)
-Why did Sayid come back to life?
Sayid came back to life because of the magical healing water that he was placed into. The same kinda water where the cork in the island was. It was able to heal him, however he came back Zombie-fied because when he died for 2 min he was evil)

-Why did Dogen say that Sayid and Claire had the same thing happen to them – he was just wrong?- They did have the same thing happen to him. They were persuaded by smokey to join him. They turned to the dark side so to say. Their soul shifted. (DOGEN explained this clearly to Sayid what don’t you get.)
Why couldn’t the whisperers move on? (they weren’t able to let go of their past problems and faults. Like Michael being responsible for the death of Ana luica and Libby. They needed to stay and help everyone in order to redeem themselves and be able to move on)
-Why would MIB leaving the island be the end of all? (MIB was evil incarnate. Imagine if evil just spread and infested everyone. Everyone would die and be soulless and be unable to move on to “heaven”)
-Why did Ms. Hawking know this? (OK I’ll admit mrs. Hawking knowing everything seems weird. She must have gotten her info from somewhere, but I am not sure where. Jacob, the MIB, Richard I dunno, but w.e. she knew somehow…who cares how)
-Why bother not giving MIB a name? (BECAUSE IDIOT FANS LIKE U WANTED IT SO THEY DECIDED NOT TO GIVE IT. IT ALLOWS FOR FANS TO SPECUALTE AND INTERPRET HIM AS W.E. U WANTED BE THAT EASAU, MIB..W.E.) IT LED TO GREAT DISCUSSIONS ALL OF LAST SUMMER AND THE PRODUCERS DIDN’T WANT TO GIVE AN ANSWER TO THOSE DISCUSSIONS THEY’D RATHER IT BE DEBATED AND THOUGHT ABOUT BY THE FANS)
-Why are guardians mortal only if you stab them with a special knife before letting them speak to you?
THERE NOT! BEN SPOKE TO JACOB B4 KILLING HIM!) this was just something dogen said, and sometimes what the characters says cant be taken for granted they lie! Only what happens and what you see can be interpreted as truth. The producers even said this)
-Why was Jacob appearing as young himself, why did Smokey bother chasing him, why did the ashes “burning” mean his end, and why was he able to know anything about any of his job (including his arbitrary ability to keep people on the island, or his ability to leave it) if “Mother” didn’t tell him and the “ritual” didn’t confer any knowledge? Why were the effects of the Golden Glory Hole so random?
THIS IS WHY YOUR STUPID. MAN CANNOT UNDERSTAND GOD’S METHODS. WE AREN’T AT THAT LEVEL OF UNDERSTANDING. ITS LIKE TRYING TO UNDERSTAND WHY GOD CAN CREATE MAN BUT CANT REVEAL HIMSELF TO MAN. GO AHEAD TRY TO UNDERSTAND GOD’S ACTIONS, YOU WONT BE ABLE TO. PLENTY OF RELIGIONS HAVE TRIED THEIR INTERPRETATION BUT NO ONE HAS SUCCEEDED BECAUSE ITS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANY OF US TO BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND!
(honestly, though, by this point, I stopped caring about the logic behind anything b/c it was clear they didn’t intend any)
-Why the visible and clear emphasis on water (esp. drinking) on-island in Season 6? ( THIS IS JUST ANOTHER CASE OF STUPID FANS LIKE YOU MAKING SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING.BUT IF YOU MUST IN LITERATURE WATER IS SEEN AS A SYMBOL OF RE-BIRTH AND REINCARNATION. SORRY THAT YOUR NOT AN ENGLISH MAJOR AND THAT YOU’LL NEVER UNDERSTAND THE DEPTHS OF SUCH GREAT WORK AS DANTE’S INFERNO AND HOMER’S ODYSSEY.
-Why was Desmond needed if Jack did the same thing in reverse and wasn’t killed by the EM (which would have happened before making it (salmon-like) out of the Glowing Cave of Wonder)? JACK COULD DO IT BECAUSE HE WAS LIKE JACOB, GOD-LIKE. But also this thing drained him of his last strength and actually along with his wound ended up killing him.

-Why was Desmond so resistant to EM, and why were its effects so random and inconsistent?
its electromagnetic energy. (energy that doesn’t exist in the real world, so it could theoretically do anything. Like anti-matter in all those comic books and or mana for you World of warcraft people.
-Why the sudden changes from night to day and vv in season 6? To explain progression. ( in a book the author would describe it more detailed, but this is a tv show)
-Did all MIB's promises boil down to "I'm promising to kill you and send you to a FST where you will live (partially) happily ever after until you go on the great Church Bus to Glory"? (no you idiot, smokey didn’t know about the FST and it had nothing to do with him. All of his promises were false lies designed to con the castways into killing themselves, or having Ben kill them so that he can leave. )
-Why spend five years emphasizing things (Dharma, Others, Widmore, “the war”, the Donkey Wheel & its effects) that ultimately meant nothing to the main plot (Jacob & MIB – otoh, these seem like “Just another story” that would ultimately mean nothing if there were four more seasons to introduce new stories) so that the whole series basically becomes The Wild & Wacky Adventures of Some Castaways instead of the deeper, more intricate and fulfilling story it was purporting itself to be? (WHAT does this question even mean. Our characters had to go through all these things in order to be redeemed and learn the lessons they needed to learn together. It was a shared experience and shared meaning and its why they were able to create the FS world together because they experienced all this together. Dharma was there to use the island for scientific purposes which isn’t what the island is for, it’s a spiritual place. The others were always around. They were there to protect the island and form a community of people living and working together in the wilderness away from all the evils that the real world has to offer. It was designed to show that the Island life and community was better and more important than the real world. The war was for control of the island. The donkey wheel was there to try to harness the energy into escaping the island. It ultimately ended up working because the MIB believed it would work. Strong belief in something on the island manifests itself into reality. Which is why locke was able to bring Anthony cooper to the island, why ben told jack I need you to want to/believe that you can fix me)
