Alright, hear me out, because this is a lot to swallow.
I'm focusing on the first couple of episodes in Season 1, when we first get a look at Locke.
Pilot Pt. 1: There's a scene where Kate is looking at Locke, and he's eating a fruit. He smiles at her, with the skin showing in front of his teeth. She instantly feels uncomfortable. He notices this, and looks away. She felt uncomfortable for a reason.
Pilot Pt. 2: Walt notices him setting up a game of Backgammon.. a reflection of MIB setting up the game between him and Jacob. "Two players, two sides. One is light.. one is dark." As he holds up the pieces, the scar on his face is on the side that the dark piece is held. And he spends quite a while, with a lot of fascination, explaining the game of Backgammon.. its history, etc. Just why did a full set of Backgammon survive the plane crash, and why have we never seen it in any flashback (to my knowledge)? As far as I can tell, Locke has not had such a deep fascination for the game of Backgammon until his arrival on the island, talking about light and dark, and all that. He also asks Walt if he can tell him a secret. Is it because Walt is special, or just because he happened to be there and talk to Locke? Hmmm..
Tabula Rasa: Walt is talking to Michael about Locke, and after some talking, Walt tells Michael that Locke told him a secret. Michael asks him what it was, he replies, "He says a miracle happened." He doesn't say to who, or what the details are. Locke may well have told him a lot more. Also, the final shot in this episode is of Locke sitting on the beach, looking out at the water. It's clearly meant to give off the "Whoa.. who is that dude?" vibe, because at this point in the series we know almost nothing about him. But what if it's something more? The look in his face is pretty strange, like a sense of completion. Just something to think about.
I just think that with all this backlog of information about these characters and everything that has happened to them, we should begin early to think outside the box with the information we have so far. Nothing will prepare us for what Season 6 will bring, but it's fun to over-think things sometime, at least when it comes to Lost.
