So all the Losties are rabbits.
What we see as people are actually their conciousness. Conciousness can not be paralyzed, can not be cancer...
A polar bear can easily be brought to a tropical island in this way.
Good example of conciousness travel is Desmond. He is in army and then in that chopper.
The mind who managed ancient egyptians is behind the curtain. That mind does this experiment-like thing. Magnetic energy stick together the conciousness and the body of rabbit.
In first season when Jack sees his father and chases him, Christian gives a very creepy look. That's the look of an animal. Emotionless. That was rabbit under a conciousness.
