Lost has become a vast canvas of a show that seems to be about everything as far as I can see. One of the colours of this canvas is duality. Science/faith, good/bad, black/white.
Maybe it’s more about the differences of these opposites rather than the polarity of them. Imagine for a moment that the island of lost was the place where creation began. Maybe at that moment god over egged the pudding a little bit and what he created was two realities. In this other reality that mirrors our reality the people there must have a god too. Wouldn’t that god be a mirror image of our god; his polar opposite. So if our kind was benevolent would their god be malevolent. God, we are told loved man. What is the opposite of love? Hate? No, it’s indifference. Hate means you still care about the object of the emotion even if it’s in a negative way. Indifference means just that, you just don’t care. Does this sound like the mib. I know he hates Jacob, but his attitude towards people sounds pretty indifferent to me.
Earlier I spoke of the differences between duality rather than the opposites aspects of polarity. Let me expand on this.

There are some scientists now who are starting to say that there is no reason why god cannot have a place in science. In the field of quantum physcis the hunt is on for the god particle also know as the higson boson particle. In a labrotory somewhere under a mountain they are trying to recreate the big bang with a device called a large hadron collider. The reason they are trying to do this on a small scale is because it’s the only way to examine the god particle(so called because it is the reason why matter has mass).
Wait a minute hasn’t lost had a bif bang of it’s own. Or two.
When Desmond turned the failsafe.
When Juliet took a rock to jughead.
Maybe Desmond woke up in an alternate world.
Maybe an alternate version of Desmond woke up in our world and had a baby with penny. Maybe that child straddles two realities because of it. Does anyone remember the look on bens face when he saw Aaron just before he tried to shoot penny. I don’t know a out you but to me that was a look of wonder. A happy look. When ben had our losties at the marina, the ones from the list I started to think that the reason he had them there was because they were from a different reality. Maybe that’s why some losties flashed from flight 316 or more importantly why some did not.
Albert Einstein had a theory called unified field theory. Einstein was trying to unify the general theory of relativity with ELECTROMAGNETISM. He never got to proof this theory,unfortunetly he caught a terminal case of death.
The next part is rumour rather than sheer speculation.
Anyone ever hear of the philidelpia experiment. The story goes that the American mitary employed the services of a Serbian scientist called nickola tesla(he was played by Bowie in the film the prestige) to conduct experiments on a ship either in or called philidelpia(im very very hungover and going from memory so no nerds getting too pedantic on the finer points just go with the flow and you get the gist of my ideas). Tesla was tryin g to prove einsteins theory. What happened was supposdedly the ship jumped to interdimensional space landed beside a Japanese warship and jumped back to it’s starting point. Observers say that the ship faded out of picture for a second. Reports claiming to come fron people onboard claim that the ship became see through and when it became solid again arms and legs had sunk through metal while it was invisible and fused with it when it became solid. The experiment was too try and render the ship invisible to radar. Years later when he should! have been long dead tesla was rumoured to have worked on project montauk. I’m not sure what the point of the project was but two seamen on the philidelpia ship are supposed to have jumped overboard in the fortys and landed in montauk in the late seventies I think in teslas lab. So did this unified theory give us a way to move through space AND time. You see somethings always struck me about lost (well not always) but there are certain scenes and lines of dialogue that just don’t seem to fit and they stick out like a sore thumb. Desmond to Jack in the stadium, you have to raise it up. Jacob to Jack at the hospital, somtimes you have to push. Jack with the grizzly adams beard and then the shorter one. Forevermore tone known as jacks weird beard. Anyway I think that scenes are different iterations of our losties trials and tribulations. I don’t think that this loop is necessarily evidence of a time loop. I think it could be either a time loop or a alternative/parallel r! eality loop or a mixture of both.
But those two lines of dialogue one from Desmond and the other from Jacob, both to Jack sound to me like Instructions. Which brings me to a third loop theory. I have long suspected that observation plays a big part In lost. What I mean by that is that I feel our losties have been under observation by someone or being that has remained unseen. In the incident we saw some evidence of this with Jacob visiting different charecters of island. To act like you are unware of someone watching you constantly when you ARE aware of this is difficult. What if our losties have code or knowledge that they will need at some point written into their subconcious. Or what if the loop is the conciousness traveling in a loop.
Des cartes philosophical equation of existense was I think therefore I am. I ask the question now did god create man or did man create god. I ask this because at this point In time I think the show will end with one of our losties being asked to kill a god. How is this done. Well if you don’t believe in god does he cease to exist? Or maybe if there are two gods the only way you can physcially kill one is if you are not his creation, in other words not from his reality. I think in the last episode there will only be three losties left Jack hurley and walt. Will Jack (he walks among us but is not one of us) kill a god. Will walt(who seems to able to move around time and space) kill god. Will Hugo (with his determination to be honest) have to choose which god lives or dies. Or if your from an alternate reality will the universe course correct your arse out of existense. When god is dead will one of our losties evolve to his throne in a the king is dead long live the king k! inda way. Anyway that’s it just remember all you pedantic nerds out their it’s the gist of the theory that’s important, not the details.
