I’m from Spain, so… sorry if I can’t express my thoughts well enough. So this is my theory:
There’s gonna be a reset, as the producers have been suggesting since the 5th season ended. But it’s not gonna be a real reset as it would have happened. I mean, losties will not land in LAX.
We know there’s a runway in the second island, right? I think it was “built” because Jacob asked Others to “build” it. Now, we think it is there because someone knew Ajira flight 316 will land in the island. However, if Jacob knew that, we would have asked for a longer runway than that, because, for example, the co-pilot died (we don’t know if someone else did it too).
But… that runway is also there so the Flight 815 can land in the Island… in 2007. Right before he dies, Jacob says “They’re coming”; he’s talking about the losties.
Remember every beginning of season, it starts will all the losties together (for example, the beginning of the 4th season, in which they’re all together, and then they separate in 2 groups). Well, it’s ok, season 5 doesn’t start like that, there are some groups, even Jin alone in the water, and then almost all of them get together. But think about it, are we going to see how losties get back to the real world and in the middle of season they get back AGAIN to the Island in another plane? I don’t think so… if it happens, it will be in the first episode of season 1.
Jughead created the Incident. And the Incident changed lives of everyone who was in 1977 in the Island, and everyone’s life who died in the Island (from the Oceanic 815). As I said, the losties will land In 2007. If they are back again in Oceanic 815, we suppose their lives before haven’t changed, but they have. Videos (of Comic Con) about Hurley as the owner of Mr. Clucks and Kate as a fugitive for another reason that is NOT killing her stepfather suggested us that their lives have changed. I suppose those things happened between 2004 and 2007, the years they have LOST with no explanation (producers will not give any explanations, it’s just science fiction). That would be the only way they could get everyone together.
You see the theory is called “Almost nothing changes”. Well, that’s what I said:
• They get back to the Island, but in 2007 and not in 2004.
• Their lives before 2004 are completely the same that we saw in the show, but between 2004 and 2007 they could have changed (but they won’t know those things have happened, they lost 3 years, and they don’t remind those things happened, but they DO remind what happened in 1977 – if not, it would be a disastrous season 5, because it wouldn’t have told us anything.
• Of course, in the plane there is everyone who was in the plane in 2004 (Boone, Shannon, Ana Lucia, Mister Eko… even Locke, the real Locke, and alive). I think Jacob didn’t mind Locke was killed by Ben because he knew all of this was going to happen.
• Almost nothing changes… That also means that everyone in that plane who died, is gonna die again, I think just to have the way to say goodbye definitely to the show. And remember, the universe corrects his course because everyone has a destiny. Tell Charlie!
By the way, I don’t know if my theory is gonna be understood, but if it isn’t, I’ll write it again so anyone can understand it : )
