Remember Season 1? What was it about?
It was about the trials of several dozen stranded characters, their ability to live together, and also the regrets and mistakes of their lives before. It was about you, reflecting on your own life or symathizing with a character you may have shared something in common with. Ultimately it was purely about characters.
As the seasons progressed, that ideas grew organically, gaining mystery while giving clarity and resolve to each character's personal issues. And then finally we were relieved of our character's pasts to be introduced to their futures. The show spiralled quickly into a new form of mystery and forshadowed an deepening element of science-fiction.
So what's left? Answers right? And how about the lingering questions of what many of characters have and ourselves have been wondering all along. What are they doing there?
The show is about to take us back to a feel of season 1, because it has to get back to a character centric focus in order to show us how they come to realize their true destiny, and how that effects who they are. The show was always primarily about what lessons they've learned and even the new elements that include philosophical debate further indicate that we are going to find out why they've become who they are, and not just what they've become.
They're each going to have to make decisions, and those decisions are going to culminate with, or because of their character arcs that have grown both on and off the island. The essence of each character that we saw in season 1, and we watched grow the next 4 years, are going to impact the crictical decisions that each of them make in season 6.
And that's how Season 6 is going to resemble Season 1
