When i first saw the episode The Man Behind the Curtain I was well pleased with what i saw but then i go to thinking about Jacob. I thought the reason Locke couldn't see him was because he was stuck in a time loop he kept moving through time. and when the incident premiered and i heard the words loophole come from the MIB mouth i told myself this is why he can't kill him directly. Jacob And MIB Are Stuck In A Time Loop.
Jacob like Richard can't age. like i said above they are in a time loop, and when Ricardus came to the island jacob knew how special he was and put him in the time loop with him and MIB. the only way the MIB could get out of the time loop is to kill Jacob himself no one else. but you are going to say Ben killed Jacob, but no he didn't Flocke kicked him into the fire thus killing Jacob. When he killed him Ricardus and MIB came out of the time loop.
i think that MIB is one of the good guys. his players that i am thinking are the others, Locke, Benjamin, and Charles Widmore.All 5 of them want to protect the island from anyone or anything. Yes i believe that ben and charles are on the same side but they just dont know it. Ben wants someone to blame for exploiting the island so he points his finger at someone he truly hates. I believe if Widmore wanted to exploit the island he would have done it a long time ago. When Widmore told Locke he needs to get back to the island because if he didnt the wrong side was going to win i believe he was referring to Jacob and his players. his players are Illana and her people, and the people from the freighter and many more i dont know of.
