When we last saw Claire, she was sitting in the cabin with spooky Christian Shepherd. Lots of folks have theorized that Claire is actually dead and we are seeing "Ghost Claire." I'm starting to doubt, however, that there are actually ghosts on LOST. That's just a red herring, to divert us away from the real culprit: the smoke monster.
So what is actually going on? What will we see (according to my theory) in the final season of LOST in regards to Claire?
I think that Claire will return to the group of Losties, but she will be acting strangely. Also, by the start of the season, Hurley will have been separated from the group. This is necessary for the twist to happen concerning Claire's character.
Claire will tell the Losties that they have to all go to this area to do... something. I'm not clear on the details (no pun intended). Whatever it is, the Losties will have their lives in Claire's hands. Everything will seem to be going well... until Hurley catches up to them. Hurley will be in a panic. Jack will ask what is wrong.
Hurley will open up the Guitar case.... and the real body of Claire will fall out of it, thus proving that Claire is really being impersonated by the smoke monster / aka Jacob's nemesis.
This seems to be the exact kind of twist that the maker's of Lost would try to pull, and it would be totally unexpected.
