ok i need to reference another theory for giving me the inspiration for this.

In this theory, Theron speculates about Faraday Making a time machine for the consciousness. which is a very deep idea. Got me thinkin.
first points.
i am of the opinion that;
Jacob and MIB and possibly Richard travelled far into the past, in my opinion to the egyptian empire when, and this is a bit of a leap, the island had not become dislodged from space time and was stationary. and was not an island. It was a temple in Egypt that was ripped from space time with a blast of energy, with a blast radius that is the same radius Faraday was in when he was transported through time. with frogurt. Potentially, they could have been excavating temple ruins and found another FDW, or something similair.
Im not saying thats true, its just an idea. and kinda offpoint ha.
Back to the Dans time machine.
It is entirely possible that Eloise would have aquired this machine after Dans death. Or potentially discovered how to create it from Dans journal. In the future, before Jacob, Richard and MIB travel back in time, MIB tells or influences Eloise to find his other self (the one who is going to go excavating) and give hime the machine.
Now, this is where it gets a little wierd :p
In Dans time machine, the question is, does your past self, with your present consciousness inside it, actuall physically move through space, or is it purely your consciousness? anybody see where this is headed?
If it is pure consciousness, presenting a seemingly physical form (so that it can interact with people), what have we seen that is similair to this? that would be possible by travelling using Dans machine?
Juliets on island shrink delivering a message. When she was probably in the temple. Walt appearing where he shouldnt. Maybe Dan built a machine that is capable of learnig physical forms to appear to people in. This machine would have to be controlled by a person.
Maybe by a time travelling man in black, who was given it by an old woman he had never seen before, but years later would see her get old in front of his eyes. He would then know he had to tell this woman that she was going to give him the machine. That he already has one. but that she needs to go and give him the one SHE has.
So, this is a crazy theory and im sure there are many holes, but i think its an interesting, rich concept.
Smokey is Dans brain time travel machine. seen sometimes in its corporeal form, and sometimes in the form of familiar faces influencing other characters.
