This will be a short and sweet theory.
There have recently been several theories that Mib/Jacob (in some form or another) will be Adam and Eve.
Well, I simply do not think it will be that complicated, though I give you folks props for trying to come up with something new. The Producers stated that in the episode "Not in Portland" there would be a big clue (in the form of an Anagram) as to the nature of Adam and Eve.
Being that it is coming on season six, we lost nerds, have had ample time to study, front to back, side to side, and up and down, "Not in Portland. With that being said, there are Two known anagrams. One is easy to find, the other you have to search for.
The first of the two is: "Mittelos" AKA "Lost Time". It was confirmed by Darlton to be an anagram. Now lets look at what the term "Lost Time" could elude to.
1) It could elude to Time Travel.
2) It could elude to lost time, as in "making up for lost time"!
3) I say a bit of both! More on that later!
Ok, now the second anagram is, like I said before, a little harder to find, but if you are diligent, you will find it. In fact I was doing a search the other day, and there was a long discussion about the phrase I am about to give you back in 2007 on this very blog, but no one even mentioned this. I cannot take credit for this phrase being found, I did read this on another site, but it has been confirmed that is was indeed put there, on purpose, by Darlton, but that is all they would say about it. The phrase Is "Only Fools Are Enslaved by Time and Space" it is spoken by the voice of apparently, "Bea Klugh" but it is recorded and played backwards for the episode, (heard during the scene with Sawyer and Kate trying to help Alex get Karl out of "room 23") hence how hard it was to find.
The phrase "Only Fools are Enslaved by Time and Space." can be broken down into a few meanings also.
1) Just the phrase itself eludes to Time travel.
2) the hidden meaning is the Anagram and here it is:
"Only Fools are Enslaved by Time and Space."
"Bones of Nadlers May lay Deep in Lost Cave."
Those were the particulars, so now that all of that is out of the way, I can get to the theory part of this.
Remember in the season 5 finale' when Sawyer, Kate, and Juliet found Vincent on the beach, then Rose found them, and called Bernard.
As we know Kate tried to warn Rose and Bernard that Jack was gonna blow up a bomb. We also know that Rose and Bernard said they were not interested in any more Adventures. With all that in mind my theory picks up where that scene left off.
Bernard looks at Rose and says, "lets go for cover". They head for the only place they think they will be safe from an explosion, the caves. So they hunker down in the caves, and await the big boom. Regardless of whether the bomb actually explodes or the electromagnetism shakes the Island, I think that Rose and bernard will be trapped in the caves, by a cave-in, where they will die of either suffocation, fallout, or starvation, but I believe that the one, will never leave the other's side. Even in death because they love each other that much. As for the "Stones", I believe that Jack and Kate will find their bodies, and realize exactly what he is witnessing, and will put the stones in Bernard's Pack. Making them Adam and Eve.
Both anagrams point to this. "Lost Time" can mean it took Time travel to accomplish the fact that those skeleton were even in that cave. "Lost Time" can also mean, that because Rose and Bernard were married so late in life, the Island was a way to make up for "Lost Time".
And of course "Bones of Nadlers May Lay Deep in Lost Cave" speaks for itself.
That is just my two cents on this subject that has seemingly taken a giant leap to the weird side as of late.
Comments much appreciated.
