I have no idea if anyone wrote this before but here it goes.
Long long time ago I was thinking there is something wrong with editing. As if some parts were not on right place...at right time. Now I am pretty positive. I rewatched season 5 looking for "continuity errors" and I found quite a number...I will not number them all. I am sure you are all very well aware of it.
Most of you saw Pulp Fiction. First time I saw it, I was confused. At the end pieces came together but then I realized that the beginning of the film was actually the middle and the middle was the end and the end was the middle and so on.
What if some scenes we saw...sequences were placed within an episode? One shot, duration 30 seconds (for example) placed in each episode...or maybe even more of them?
Like very first scene with Jack waking up in the jungle. It happened before. He knew where he was. He had the "thing" Ben had in Tunisia, right beside his left shoulder. First thing he did was reaching for his pocket in order to find something...He found his bottle from a plane (similar to 316 episode where he found the piece of paper) as if he was equally confused. He needed to know what time it is, he needed something to hold on to. So what if this scene was a scene meant for season 6 but was placed in season 1? And it will be a scene in season 6 too. Used two times.
See where I am getting at? Time Loop is going on forever. And they are in it. So we have a number of iterations. But they are not showing us the linear story. It seems like a linear but it is different each time..just a wee bit. Like the picture frame Miles saw. Or Ben's wound. The numbers we heard in 316. And so on. I am not saying there is another time line...but then again maybe I am. I mean there is one "time". It is repeating. And each time the "time" starts again something changes. But only in details. But these details are crucial.
What does it mean? If it is repeating than what about Jack? Is he aware of it? Yes. Yes, he is. But then you will ask why wouldn't he say anything? I mean wouldn't he recognize Kate? Probably, but the thing is...they placed only few details, from which we are not able to get the whole picture.
For example there are parts I think are not linear. Jack waking up in the jungle from season 1. Jack talking about his flying lessons. Desmond talking to Jack on the stadium. As if Desmond knew who Jack was. And as if he knew Sarah will walk again. Was it Jacob? Or was it just Desmond being special? But wait a minute! He is not special yet...so what are we missing here? "You've got to lift it up!" He meant ankle. Yeah right!
Locke encounter with "the monster". I am thinking from that point he stopped being just Locke. He became someone/something else. You remember how he was acting strange from time to time. At one point he is self confident. Next he has lack of self esteem. My guess is that the smoke entered his soul and body in some way.
"I know what you are boy"....
It is the sentence that had enormous influence on me. Now the whole scene reminds me of the opening scene of Incident. As if the two of them talked instead of Ben and Widmore.
I think that season 6 will be combining all those small details, hints that were left to us...on purpose + a number of new juicy scenes.
