i think that jack and the 06 did change the future when they detonated jughead but i dont think we will see that future play out. why? desmond. i think the entire season 6 premire will not include any persons from the season 5 finale. it will focus on desmond, ms hawking and widmore. ms hawking and widmore will tell desmond that his friends have altered the timeline on the island and the only way to fix it is for desmond to go back and put things right. when desmond asks how they know this ms hawking will tell him she was there when they changed the future. remember ms hawking told penny this is the first time in a long time she did not know what was going to happen. this proves ( to me at least ) that the timeline has changed. ms hawking will tell desmond how to get back to the island ! and widmore will go with him. when they arrive we will not find out what year it is, or who is on the island. widmore will take desmond to the MAGIC BOX ( remember widmore was the leader of the others so if anyone knows were the magic box is it would be the leader of the island ) where desmond will make things right ( not sure exactly how ) but just as desmond sets things right widmore will betray him and kill him, just in time to be transported to the right timeline along with the 06, richard, ben and everyone else. and for those of you who dont believe they would kill off desmond and not give him a happy ending consider this. everyone who escape this island at the end of season 4 has had a hard time and heartace. jack, losing kate and depression. kate, losing jack and aaron and her trail hurley,beingcommited ! sayid,losing nadia ! sun,losingjin desmond is the only person who had any kind of closure. (a happy ending if you will) des and penny had a baby and lived happily for 3 years, thats more than anyone else has had. episode 2 of season 6 will be everyone else coming together with full memory of what has happend since the begining but all but widmore unawere of the sacrifice desmond has just made for them. desmond wil make it right but it will cost him his life. roll on season 6
