Now guys don't rip me apart on this one as soon as you see it!
Let's look at Jacob at the start of the episode he is seen making his tapestry and then he goes out and gets a fish. This fish just happens to be a red herring. That's what I think Jacob is a red herring. I think we could be shocked and good old Jacob is not the good guy. Just because in mythology White is good and Black is bad dosen't mean in Lost that they are.
Remember what Frank says to Bram "Usually when people tell me they are the good guys, they end up being the bad guys"
Now 'Black shirt' as we have christened him aka Titus Welliver (Scylla buyer in Prison Break)says at the start "It never works, they come, fight, destroy and they corrupt. It always ends the same". I mean it dosen't sound like he's all for playing the game. Plus look at Jacob he's a cocky S.O.B in the first scene whereas 'black shirt' is kinda downhearted. Then Jacob says "It only ends once, everything before that is progress". Sounds to me as if Jacob dosen't really care if people get killed or hurt or emotionally damaged. Just as long as he stands on the winning side.
Then how does the game end if it is a game. Jacob may well take on someone else's form to combat fake Locke's form (Terry O'Quinn will be in it next season I mean they ain't gonna get rid of the guy who basically made the show). So, Jacob kills black shirt aka fake Locke and he takes on another form. Hey, look it's a time loop!
If your going by the bible and black shirt is Esau then Jacob coerces Esau to sell him his birthright because he does not think Esau is responsible enough to receive it then Jacob cheats Esau out of his father's blessing and Jacob runs for the hill from Esau's threats (hiding in the cabin or shadow of the statue). In the Book Of Jubilees Jacob kills Esau with an arrow the sons of Jacob then kill the mercenaries despite overwhelming odds. Is this the end of the game? If so, who are the mercenaries on Esau aka black shirt's side? Just because his name is Jacob dosen't mean he is the good guy and just because he wears white dosen't mean he is the good guy.
If you go by Egyptian mythology and you say Jacob is SET, black shirt is APEP and Richard is RA. Now Apep has many battles with RA not Set. Set just sat at the helm during the battles. He spared Apep by turning him into certain creatures like a serpent. Now Set was worshiped by his followers at The Temple Ombos. This could resemble The Others worshiping Jacob in their Temple. Set always protected Ra that's why the followers chose him over Apep. Eventually Set was deemed a evil god and took on the characteristics on Apep. Could Jacob be on his way there with all his "sacrifices" in the good of the island? Now Apep occasionally got the upper hand like "killing Jacob" and could move about in the night due to being in the world of the dead, aka Fake Locke. So, could this mean Set aka Jacob's death leaves Richard aka Ra to fight the war with Apep aka fake Locke aka Black shirt? Apep was considered the greatest enemy of Ra aka Richard not Set aka Jacob. So, once again could this b! e that Richard is left to fight the battle? If so again who is black shirts allies? So, I really don't see it being Egyptian mythology.
Then you ask, okay what about the statue? But we look at Jacob and I don't think he and black shirt could have built that by themselves. Could Egyptians have been on the island? because as the black rock is coming into the island. Black shirt does his speech of "it always ends the same" this could suggest they have played the game before with other people like the Egyptians who just happened to maybe on Jacobs orders erect the statue like he told The others to build the runway so 316 could land (although they didn't actually know that was why they were building it).
I mean who the hell is gonna be Black shirt's allies in the war cos if the losties go back. You'll have the others and Richard, IIana and her crew and the losties all on the good side. Who's on the evil side Ben and fake Locke aka black shirt. Wonder who's gonna win that war? It dosen't make a damn bit of sense but that's Lost at it's best letting you ponder the answers.
What's absolutely hilarious is once again Darlton said "Oh, no it's not got anything to do with being a game of good vs evil". Just like they said "No time travel exists in Lost". It's hilarious of course you could say they were misleading us. But I really don't think so. Hey I'm going all out for Hurley to be an alien now. "An alien, who?".
"The Fat Guy"
Feel free to rip this apart guys I know it's like taking a LSD trip reading it! But remember Lost dosen't answer questions it twist and turns and shocks and misleads and produces new ones.
