Expanding on other theories that have been posted today I am going to take a stab at a theory. So we now know that "What lies in the shadow of the statue?" "He who will save us all". I don't think that it is a coincidence that at that exact moment the unveiled the body of old Locke (Locke v.1).
And then we have the scene from season one where Walt told John, "I have had dreams about you. You are on an island wearing a suit and there are people all around you. They want to hurt you, John.” Walt had an ability to see the future and he saw what we are going to see in Season 6.
So to solve the riddle, Locke's dead body is literally lying in the shadow of the statue. And going along with what many people have elaborated on today, Jacob's spirit or essence will take over John's body and it will be used to "save us all" from what I now believe to be evil Locke (Locke v.2)/smokey.
