It would be just too dull to assume that it's all about ancient Egyptian Gods. The plot proved to be much more smarter so far.Although the statue that appears looks Egyptian like and the glyphs on the walls resemble ancient Egyptian characters in the pit of the black smoke.I see it as a game of no gods but of a higher alien civilization that were falsely worshiped by Egyptians as gods thus implying how old the island really is.In this game of power a highly technically advanced alien species arrives on earth probably 5000 years ago or more, took interest into human beings and decided to build and use the island as a test area for the human race through the ages.Probably in their common practice the alien race spreading and searching through the cosmos for inhabitable planets to expand to,faces always the same challenge:when getting to a planet with intelligent beings like us,they must decide in their sense of just! ice whether to help these beings if they can be helped to improve or annihilate them because they could prove to become dangerous enemies in the future for them. They are capable of thinking through whole ages and not only through the 100 year span of the human life. And yes Jacob and the other guy, they are not gods, they are just two different alien characters on their routine mission of measuring the human race.Like any other human,Jacob believes in good inside of us and that we can change to the better. On the contrary Jacob's opponent is just another alien officer with the same task only that he looks on the dark side of the human race and wants to annihilate them to get a credit from his alien mates.I would suppose that he resembles more like an alien military officer who rushes to find enemies all around him.The difference between them is that Jacob as higher ranking officer has come first on the island. As time went by the alien species sent another alien to check Jacob! 's progress.By knowing though about the second alien's aggress! ive natu re they knew that the difference he would have with Jacob regarding the space-time fabric distortion (as he came second to the island) would protect Jacob. They can virtually be at the same place and at the same time, they can look and talk to each other but can not be touched. That's why the second alien can't lay his hands on Jacob. When the chance is given to him through the death of John Locke he, with superior alien technology grabs his re-manifestation using the same time-space fabric that could lead him to the present time so he can contact the survivors and persuade them (especially one of them-Ben) to kill Jacob. But as you can see he still can't get to Jacob himself due to time-space fabric difference. Also try to remember that at the last episode of season 5 we see only Jacob with the ability to contact all the heroes of lost. This proves to me that Jacob is a senior alien officer with higher abilities and powers given to him in order to be able to summon through the cen! turies the chosen ones who would make the difference for the human race in order to save it in the test area of the island. The lower ranking second alien lacks these authorities and powers and that's another reason to hate Jacob. We also see Jacob very peaceful at the time of his death nor resisting at all to Ben.And through the last episode of season 5 we come to understand that he is a very good angel-like being who has only a good purpose and intention. To help the human race. His final words "they are coming" could very well serve as a generous reminder to his opponent that their people will find out his betrayal and probably punish him and the earth would be spared.Maybe even by taking Locke's body in the space-time fabric he has already done something dearly forbidden. And a small tip.If they were really gods...how could a god like Jacob die?Or why couldn't his opponent (were he a god too) just decide to lay his hands on Jacob and simply achieve it.Aren't gods able to do ! anything at all?Can a God really kill another?Could this unive! rse ever be run by more than one God?That's it.I strongly do believe that in anyway Ben just killed the body of Jacob.Jacob does possess the knowledge to come back.He is not really dead. This also proves that everything that anyone else did in the show (even the bomb-and we don't really know if it went off or not yet) has been done only to demonstrate to the aliens that human race understands the meaning and necessity of a higher ideal like a sacrifice in order for the other people to live thus making aliens understand that there is hope for the human race to shine.I will stop here.I hope it will prove right.Anyway thanks for reading this.I really appreciate and love you all people. :)
