I don't subscribe to the theory that the bomb going off could stop 815 from crashing... simply because, if it did, the new people that have come to the island would all also just disappear... and I think there's been too much setup there - and too many unanswered questions as to who they are. Plus, it would make the whole 2007 storyline we've been watching pointless.
Instead, what I reckon will happen is that things will just continue for a while... leaving a few things which need resolving:-
1. "I watched them all die"... this will be key. We will know that the bomb failed to change the Losties' destiny. But if Richard saw them die, is that also written in stone? A lot of possibilities here... eg. maybe he didn't mean those specific people, maybe he meant "the D.I"... I doubt it, though. Something else is going to play out here - perhaps they'll finally succeed in season 6 to change this destiny?
2. Locke is Smokey... and dead. I don't believe that the Losties can fix this... but maybe Jacob can? Demi-gods can do all kinds of crazy stuff, especially ones who can play with time. Jacob will be back - and so will Locke. Maybe they'll take Jacob to the temple? (though I'm not sure how Smokey would allow that?)
3. Ben's redemption... Ben was tricked by Smokey into killing Jacob. I believe Ben will sacrifice himself in order to put things right. Basically, Ben is now a man whose whole adult life was a waste... he even lost his "daughter". He will die in season 6 putting at least some of this right...
4. Juliet. I honestly believe that she's dead. The Losties will continue in 1977 for a couple of episodes, seeing the aftermath of the Incident, how the Hatch is finished and Radzinski being left there, etc. There are still a few unresolved things about 1977 that can only be shown to us using the same mechanism as season 5.
5. Jack/Kate. They will end up together in season 6, either living on the island or off it. That's inevitable and always has been.
6. Sawyer. He will leave the island and be with the mother of his daughter. It's the only path for him now - if he ended up with Kate it would only taint his character... can you imagine it..? "oh my god, Juliet, how can I live without you" then 5 mins later "hey kate, how you doing... want to get jiggy?"... not gonna happen.
7. Rose/Bernard and the dog. They will stay on the island at the end. Bernard really looked the Castaway part.
