This isn't a theory, I was just studying the tapestry Jacob weaved and started to thinking "What do we really see and how many people are represented on Jaocb's tapestry?"
We have the Greek translation of "May the Gods Grant Thee All That Thy Desires"
There's the Eye of Horace (All Seeing Eye) within a Sun which appears to be reaching out to touch the worshippers below.
There are clearly two throned figures encompassing 9 worshipping/reaching figures;
followed by 8 dancing/celebrating/offereing figures, one of which is clearly playing a stringed instrument;
Next a line of hieroglyphics (translation anyone?)
Then in Greek "Hail to Thee, and All welcome, and may the Gods Grant Thee Happiness"
Another line of hieroglyphics (?)
Five more figures are shown planting/harvesting/working.
Then a ship or ships, I think ancient but NOT the Black Rock, approaching the island;
And the missing corner section of the tapestry, which I am guessing is the message Jacob left for Ilana in the cabin, that is the statue where Jacob resides.
So add up:
2 throned (important) figures
22 other figures under the Eye.
How many players do we have on the island now?
Does each side now have enough game pieces for their eternal game of backgammom? Thoughts?
