I am a first timer to this site or any really. My theory is that Jacob is Aaron. Aaron went back to the island to find his mother. He knew about the island and its history because his grandmother was told by Kate. This could explain why there is so much emphasis on Aaron being raised by his mother. If he were he would have never gone back to the island. Also I belive dark shirt guy took Claire so that she would not be able to raise Aaron. The others showed special attention to Aaron and his survival and there was too much emphasis on him for him not to be important to the story. I would love to hear your thoughts on this theory and why it could be right or wrong.
