Everyone has said the Dharma Buildings in 2007 are overgrown and don't appear to be right. That's because they are the Dharma Buildings of 1984. Remember that Radzinsky wrote on the blast door map that there was an Incident in 1984. This is the evacuation of DI from 1977 to 1984 to escape the Incident. He didn't write the 1977 Incident because they are now living in 1984. Chang had already built the Time Machine and evacuated all the personnel except 5 of the Dharma losties who are living with DI in 1977. These are the 5 fatalities written down by Radzinsky. Some of the present crew will stay or die before the evacuation. When they evacuated, Chang had to abandon the Time Machine in 1977. That's why he lost his arm. He had to operate the machine in 1977 when he passed to 1984. When he tried to find the Time Machine in 1984 it was gone. Anyone think Ben might have found that Machine between 1977 and 1984 and hid i! t away for himself to use? Therefore his arm stayed in 1977. John, Sun, Ben, and Frank are now in 1984. Hydra Island is in the present and the Dharma Island is in 1984. When the DI come into 1984, all the surviving losties who do not stay behind and evacuate or die in 1977 will be arriving by other means on Hydra Island.
