heres my theory of how jack showed jack the way back to the present time from dharma time
in the bible jacob is aaron's great great grandfather meaning he is related the jack and i believe that jacob using powers of the island and time travel somehow managed to get the tattos jack had in thailand on him they are key to the island and getting the O6 back to the present time in island ready to get the correct side of the "war" to win.
jacks tattos bare a similar feel and look to the egptian hyrogliphics i believe that jacob somehow through the island's power put those tattos on jacks arm because they have something to do with the temple and getting back to the present and....[ i know this sounds stupid but this is my theory i am throwing out there i've heard this little idea from others as well] i believe jacks grandad is jack ! i believe that he guided jack back to the island because he knew what needed to be, locke wearing christians shoes being how the o6 end up in dharma time. How does he know this because he has been to the island before and knows the secrets of the island as jack who has become a man of faith will find out in season six. So jacob guides and tells jack what needs to be done and jack will travel back in time become christians father and make sure that all that happen'd happen'd so time does not alter and the side who won the war will win the war and no one else. i feel christian has ! been to the island before and jack (grandad jack) took christian and revealed the secrets because jack ( not grandad jack) will meet his "deceased father" and he will share the secrets of the island"
