With all the new theories coming out I thought I should toss one in the mix. Apologies if this has been brought up anywhere since the finale aired.
First we'll start with Adam and Eve and who I think their identities are. What we know:
Two people died in the caves.
One male, one female.
Died approximately 50 years before 815. (1954)
So, 1954....we've seen that exact time on the island. We saw the LOSTIES running from the flaming arrow attack right before we flashed to 1954. Let's say Rose and Bernard get hit by the arrows, or are hurt in another way. They go to the caves and die in each others arms.
The timeline fits. Almost too good, as 1954 is EXACTLY 50 years before 2004. Now, I know what you are thinking..."We've seen them in 1977!"
Have we?
We saw a very angry Rose and Bernard, that's for sure. Living in 1977, in a cabin, with Vincent. So...what if?
--Man #2, Esau, whatever you wish to call him. What if he did exactly what he did to Locke's body...with Rose and Bernards? I mean if a war is coming he needs his soldiers.
--They sure didn't seem to friendly to the Losties. It would also help explain how they survived in the jungle, hiding from Dharma, the Others, and the smoke monster for 3 years.
--Bernard's "Sure you don't want some tea?" Was not only creepy, but maybe they were trying to isolate HER from the group to do the same thing to her. Gain another "soldier".
--Anyone think maybe Bernard looks a bit like the "Jacob" we saw in the cabin in TMBTC? Or the cabin's look a little similiar? The painting resembles Vincent just a little bit?
Anyway, that's my theory on Adam and Eve. I hope to get some good feedback from everyone.
Last thing about the dead bodies on the island. It seems Esau is able to take them and make them his own. Perhaps this is why Richard was so intent about finding his dead men in "Lafleur" and taking Amy's husband as well? Maybe there is some sort of ritual or disposal they must do to stop Esau or smokey from taking their form?
Thanks for reading :)
