That will happen. Why?
Well we are all wondering why would Ben and Charles and Hawking fight this hard if what ever happened happened and nothing can be done. Why wouldn't they just sit and relax. They can't. Because all of them believe that some things could be changed at one point. Heck, Widmore changed the rules that got Alex killed. Alex is dead. Ben never counted on that one to happen. He even said : Alex, I got this under control.
Why? Is he reliving this moment? Or he simply didn't believe that Charles would order his child to be killed. He trusts in Charles that much? He believes Charles is not a monster and will not kill this 'poor girl'. Maybe. I am not quite sure if I believe in time loop. But here are 3 reasons why I should believe in it.
1. Jack waking up in the jungle (Pilot). He knew where he was.
2. Juliet telling Ben that he has a tumor. He already knew that will happen.
3. Alex getting killed. He said: I got this under control. He loved her too much to just let her go. He knew the outcome of this situation. But the outcome we saw was different because he change the rules.
He didn't change rules just because of Desmond. There is more to it. If Ben relived this then he relived everything. The crash, freighter, tumor. All of it.
So what now? Alex is dead. He is off the island. He knows he needs to change the rules too. To save Alex. No matter what. They don't need to be together (Like Charles and Penny), he just needs to make sure that she is safe. What wouldn't a father do for his only child?
So he is back. And he starts to making some plans. Most of them have everything to do with Sayid. Sayid was the only man Ben talked to in 3 years since they got of. The only one from O6 group. Why is that? Because Sayid is the only one who is capable of killing a kid. Ben is patient. Really patient. He learned that from Sayid back in 70s. Yes, they were always back. They were always members of Dharma. And Ben always brought sandwiches to Sayid. And he always helped Sayid escape. But Sayid promised to take him to his people, the Hostiles. That was the condition. He will help him escape only if he takes him to his people. Why? Because he really hated it there, in Dharma. Sayid didn't keep a promise. That is why old Ben pays so much attention to the given word. Sayid could've just as well kill him because for little Ben living in Dharma, with his father was worse than anything else we could imagine. It was a hell for him. So Sayid let him down, maybe he just told him to go away! maybe he shot him, but in a leg...or something. He never ever meant to shoot him in a chest. It is a 12 year old kid. Sayid would never kill a child. So that is the reason why old Ben said to Sayid: Whats the use in having friends if you cannot trust them? He trusted him, helped him escape death and what did he do? He left him to put up with his dad!
What we saw in He is our you was old Ben doing everything possible to provoke Sayid. He told him:'You are a killer, Sayid'. He manipulated him for 3 years. Ever since they got of the island. He even killed Nadia. Yes, I believe he killed Nadia. That was the only way to make Sayid do things he did for Ben. The same way I believe he killed Penny, to make Desmond come to the island too. People Sayid was killing for Ben could be Widmore's people but they could also be Ben's. Who knows. The primary objective was to drive Sayid crazy. Make him suffer. Make him HATE. And Ben did it. Once more again.
Remember in Little Prince when they are talking on the peer? And Kate says: You are all crazy/You guys are crazy! And Sayid decides to leave and Ben is really concerned. He asks: Sayid, where are you going? The way he said it was really...he needed Sayid. If Sayid doesn't come back with him then it is all in vain. But he came. He was on 316. That is all Ben needed to know.

I always wondered why would Richard let DI live on the island and killed the soldiers? Because DI was doing good for the island. They were scientists. They were no threat. But now the kid is killed by 'Hostiles' so Dharma will not just sit around, doing nothing. They will start attacking Hostiles. That will piss of Richard. Cause he knows he did nothing, he had nothing with that evil act. So he will defend. He will eventually kill them all. If he could get rid of US soldiers he sure can get rid of some scientist. Thus the future we saw in Namaste. If Ben is dead and all other members of DI, there is none to live in the barracks. Others are living where they always lived. The runway was never build anyways. It was started. Rember the road plans in Rogers van? DI was building roads for the island. But it was never finished. Ben is dead. None wants to finish it. we all saw it in Namaste. It was the same as it was when Sawyer and Kate were brought to work. But no houses, nothing! . Why? Because the Other never took over where DI stopped. The runway is a 'left over' of Dharma, like barracks, like peer. But there is no sub you will say. Sub will be destroyed in upcoming war. The numbers. Well Danielle never went to radio tower. Hostiles found her. They took both her and Alex. Oh yes, Alex. Alex is alive. She is alive and living with her mother protected by the Hostiles. She is alive. Thats all what Ben wanted this time. All those people will die, again because of him. But this time he will sacrifice himself in order to save his daughter. So this time he changed the rules. Gave a little push to 'faith'.
So we were witnesses of taking matter of faith in your hands in order to change the future. I believe Benjamin Linus had it once more, had his way, manipulated everyone for his own gain. He created a new time line. And it is up to O6 to get it back. Go back to past and try to fix things. That is how, because of Ben we will get to know everything about the island.
