I think WHATEVER HAPPENED HAPPEND/S is the norm for Time Travel 101. The twist is the writers have introduced a kink, which is ressurection. So I think Daniel - who is un-aware of the islands ressurective properties, and is merely focusing on the time travel properties, believe he is 100% correct when he firmly states that W-H-H.
He is not accounting for the complexity of death and rebirth/ressurection.
So perhaps the W-H-H rule applies normally - but when you introduce ressurected/re-born/reincarnated zombie characters, they break the normal time travel rules, since their linear life path isnt really linear and messes with what is the normal Past - present and future. . . Theory by Dharma Lube
