So, since I started reading theories here, I realised that it seems like most of them are about the debate over alternate timelines vs whatever happened happened. That got me thinking about the writers and the major themes on this show.
BTW, first time poster here!
So, here you all are fighting over the most important aspect of this show. Can you change the timeline or timelines vs it's written in stone. Destiny vs free will. Jack vs Locke.
Since the beggining the show has been about this subject. Science vs faith. Destiny vs free will. And since the beggining, each side has been showed to be right from time to time.
You guys totaly fell into their trap. It's my opinion that they've always intended for both sides of the argument to be right and wrong.
It's seems to me like they are in the process of creating their own destiny. It's both side of the argument in the same concept.
If you don't embrasse both sides, you end up like Jack or Locke when they deal in absolute. Every time these two stubborn guys act like this, they make a mistake and they end up loosing their way.
It's a tv show with a God/spirit/monster of smoke judging you in a mystic temple, but also with a pocket of negativly charged exotic matter and electromagnetic anomalies...
BTW, I'm pretty sure they'll explain the time travel with metaphores like the record player rather than a complicated quantum physic explanation that 95% of lost fans won't understand. That and the fact that it would make a boring or awkward scene...
English is not my first language, so please be induldgent with the spelling. Thanks for reading!
