I've been thinking the reason why danielle didn't recognize Jin from the past is because she wasn't suppose to even meet him, and the event that caused this is Keamy killing off Alex.
Remember in S4 after alex gets killed, Ben says that 'He' ( referring to Widmore Changed the rules, and in the frist episode of season 5 Halliwex says that there are rules, rules that cannot be broken.
Also in the life and death of Jeremy Bentham, Ben is really surprised to hear that Jin is still alive.
Jin is alive because alex died, and alex may not even get born anymore (maybe danielle went crazy after seeing Jin appear/disappear that she killed herself together with alex) because her death was a game changer.
