ok, sorry if other people have been mentioning this already, I have not read every theory and and comment, so if other people have posted something like this I apologize. In like the second episode this season I think, we see Faraday knock on the swan door at some point in the past, he tells Desmond you are special yada yada yada. we then see Desmond in present time waking up wondering if he just dreamed that, then realizing it was a memory, but he was not able to remember it till right then because the moment had just occurred. then when John wakes up in the Tunisian hospital and Widmore is there he asked John how long ago they had first met, John says like 4 days ago, Widmore says for him it was like 54 years ago. now, did Widmore wake up four days ago in 2008 and suddenly have that memory, like Desmond did of Faraday? the fact that Abondon works for Widmore and is Johns orderly in the hospital years before Joh! n ever got to the island via 815, suggest to me that no, he did wake up 4 days ago remembering when he first met John, but has lived his whole adult life with that memory and knowledge. so which way does it really work, when things happen to someone in the past are the memorys instantly transported to that persons consciousness in the present/future, or do they carry the memory with them always from the moment it happens? im not sure, and thats what brings me to Ben, we know some of our losties are in 1977, the left behinders and some of the O6 from flight 316, We think that Ben, Locke, and most of the 316 people are in the present 2008. we know that young Ben was a member of the DI in the 1970's so presumably our 1977 losties will be running into young Ben, my question is when that happens, do you think 2008 Ben will be getting instantly transmitted memorys from his young self as soon as they occur in 1977 or has present Ben always had the knowledge of every thing that has! happend all along, even before it actually occurs?
