First time theory poster-
When the Ajira plane crashes, why are only certain people taken? Jack, Kate, Hurley and Sayid are taken back to '77. Maybe, since they have been to the island before, they are supposed to be there with Sawyer LaFluer, Jin, Juliet and co.
But what about Ben, Sun, even Lapidus? (BTW, Sun is a badass!)
We know for sure that Ben is on the island in 77. My theory is that Sun and Lapidus are there as well. The island won't let them go back to '77, because this would be a disaster.
Remember the video with Chang/Halliwax/Candle and the bunnies in the Orchid? It was made absolutely clear that the clone bunnies, or time-traveling bunnies, could UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES see each other or it would be a disaster.
So, Sun, Ben, and maybe even Lapidus can't go back to 1977 because they are already there, as little kids. Theory by Andrew
