With the information we got in 316 and LaFleur I think it is pretty safe to deduce that during the last flash the survivors were split up into different times.
During the scene in which Jin and Sawyer are talking after Amy has delivered her baby, Jin tells Sawyer that he still has not found any of their people. Now considering they have had roughly 3 years to search, with the aid of Dharma mini-buses no less, they've probably been able to do some pretty thorough searching. Despite this, they've seen no sign of Rose, Bernard, or any of the other that survived the flaming arrow attack.
This leads me to believe that during the last flash Rose, Bernard, and the rest of their group were placed into a different time than Sawyer and the rest, most likely 2008. I believe this beause of Jack, Kate, Hurley, and Sayid being popped back into 1977. I think the last flash put people where they needed to be for...whatever large, clataclysmic war/disaster is forthcoming.
Jack, Sawyer and the rest needed to be in Dharma days, perhaps because whatever happened, happened (though I've been wondering, just because whatever happened, happened does that mean that something new couldn't still happen as long as it didn't interfere with events that must occur? I know the butterfly effect would imply that couldn't happen but...) or perhaps because they have roles they need to play. So, assuming Rose et al did get popped into another time and that Jin isn't just really horrible at hide and seek, that would mean that they had parts to play in that time, just as Locke, Sun, and the rest.
