I was trying to fall asleep thinking about LOST. I couldn’t rest until I write this down.
Horace and Amy have a newborn son. That son’s name is Tom—Thomas Goodspeed. Now, because of age, we can leave out Mr. Friendly. The other two possible Toms are Kate’s childhood friend and Aaron’s father. I will explore each, but my theory is that he is none other than Aaron’s father.
Here is why: Aaron’s father matches more closely in age. It fits with the mythology in that I do not believe Claire accidentally got pregnant. He left her under suspicious circumstances, and Claire was set up so that she would wind up on 815. Now, he does have an Australian accent, but thus far we do not know whether he was raised on the Island or not. This also adds some “special” aspects to Aaron’s importance. He is the grandson of Horace, who built Jacob’s cabin, and Christian, who most recently occupied it. LOST has been a family affair all along. I don’t doubt that Jacob is related to both.
Another connection is the murals/paintings that have appeared throughout the series. Now, I am not sure what TPTB have said about the paintings merely being reused props, but having his artwork in the hatch? And the painting in Widmore’s office?
Additional related thought that isn’t as strong: The importance of Claire to the Others was not just the baby, it was the fact that “Thomas Goodspeed” was the last child born on the Island and the Others wanted his blood.
I have never been so sure of a LOST theory of my own. Please feel free to comment constructively. I am new to this.Theory by Erica
