This theory was one that developed for rather quickly and I never realized that it was technically a theory and not just a simple evaluation of the case at hand when I realized that a great number of people still believe that Aaron could be evil or a potential threat.
I personally do not believe that Aaron is a threat at all, nor do I believe that he is dangerous. Aaron is simply what he appears to be a young, well-adjusted child.
With that said, I do not believe that the psychic was a fraud, at least not in the case Aaron Littleton I believe that he saw what he told Claire that he saw, a blur when he took Claire's hand. Notice how quickly he saw this. He didn't really even hesitate. It was an overpowering sense that he got from Claire herself. He said a blur was bad, but he didn't elaborate to what this meant. I think the blur was not representing Aaron's personality, or potential for threat but rather, it was a representation of possible threat TO him. When the psychic told Claire that she needed to be around this child, to take care of him surround him with her goodness. I think he was implying that a mother, especially one with as pure of a heart as Claire, would fall in love with her child instantly. She would do anything she could to make sure that the child was safe and out of harm. I will get back to this point in a few minutes....
But who would possibly be a threat to Aaron? Why Jacob of course. This is really another theory entirely on my part..but I believe that Jacob is evil. Primarily, because he is a creator of lists and separates people into categories such as good and bad based on those lists. He only takes the people that deems worthy of him. Since I haven't seen anyone being invited to join the group later, I can only assume that this list is set in stone. You are either in or out. To me that is very Hitler in many ways because he is choosing who is worthy and who is not. We don't know much about Jacob, is he a person? Is he an entity? I'm not sure but we do know one think he seems to have a target for the Sheppard family line. He is using Jack and Claire's father as a body and voice. He is trying to get them to see his side, to come to his side. I can't give you any reason as to why this is the case only that to me it seems fair to say that it is the case.
He already has Claire. The girl in the cabin at the end of season four was not Claire, I'm sure of it. Her soul was not present in whatever manifestation was occurring at that point. However, the girl in Kate's dream that told her never to bring Aaron back, that was Claire. That was the mother who would do anything to protect her son. Of course, she doesn't want her son to come back to the island to become a soulless zombie of sorts working for Jacob. What mother would want that?
So in the end, I'm sure that I am wrong about some of the details in this theory but I think ultimate idea is correct that we need to think of who Aaron is..not what he is, and what he can do that make him special.
This is my first full theory I have ever had the guts to post. I would love to hear your thoughts about it.Theory by Melanie
