OK, just a quick theory, but one i believe to make total sense. This is something I have believed for a while, and got some conformation of tonight.
The statue, which we got to see the back of tonight, is definately a statue of Ra, the sun god of ancient Egypt. We have all seen hieroglyphics on numerous locations on the island such as the temple, the Smoke Monster Door, The timer, and the "frozen donkey wheel". Why is this? well, that's because the original inhabitants, aka the hostiles, decend from (and some of them likely are) Ancient Egyptians.
Richard Alpert, as i see it, is at least four thousand years old... and i bet you he has four toes. Richard Alpert... an unusual name... just what are his initials? R.A. aka, Ra, the sun god of Ancient Egypt.
Richard is immortal, that's why the dharma guys didn't just kill him, and none of us have a clue just how old he is. He is ancient egyptian... hence the eyeliner look. (which isn't eyeliner, that dude just looks like that in real life, watch the dark knight.)
Here's what I propose... Richard, aka Ra, and possibly Ramses the 1st, proposed and later supervised the building of the Pyamids. The pyramids were actually the first off island "dharma station". They were perfectly aligned to true north south east and west to create a similar effect to Mrs. Hawings little laboratory, the lamppost... in order to find the island. They were successful, and that's where the heiroglyphics, richard and the original inhabitants of the island came from.
At any rate, discuss... I'm interested to hear some input.
Was it not intriguingly strange that Horace (or Horus) seemed to be at odds with richard's group? so many possibilities here, and I'd love to know what you all think. Read my other theory "The Valenzetti Solution" and try to unify these for me before my freaking brain spontaneously combusts.
Thanks for reading and i hope you enjoyed! Theory by Ryan Evans
