Apoligies if this has been repeated but this is only my second theory ever! :).
Its just a "quick one"(no doubt i'll start blabbering on) really in the last episode "TLADOJB" when ben has found locke in the room and has helped him down ben suggests going to see Sun next.
Locke was quite adament not to see Sun because of his conversation with jin before he took a plunge down the well.
But what got me with this was bens reaction when locke said he spoke to jin , it was very odd in my eyes it caught my attention .. it could be nothing, but to me it was like jin was not ment to be alive ben was a little suprised to hear jin was alive.
It looked like ben was thinking " Jins alive!! , thats odd he should be dead"
(but hes already thought of how to deal with jin when/if he sees him) because hes always 50 steps ahead of anybody else!! Its liek ben knows every possible outcome and knows a way around it.
An now of corse Jin is in DI Time and i dont think he is ment to be there because then of course he meets the french lady when shes 16 (forgotton her name)and futher on he actually meets jack kate and hurley again.It just seems to me that jin was never ment to be alive and therefore not be on the island atall.
Another little theory is that he should of actually been on the helicopter with the o6 to make the o6 an o7 party!?!?.
Also in that scene Locke suggests the next part of the plan to see eliose Hawking and says to ben do you know her , ben says yes. What gets me is bens sudden change of emotion as soon as he gets the name of the person locke is going to see. So he dosnt need locke anymore. It's Like hes been waiting for the contact and as soon as he gets that name he know's exactly who can get them back to the island.
Now this might be a bit off because i cant actually remember if ben knew Miss hawking before lockes mention of her.. It might be that he knows her but didnt exactly know what she could do(get them back to the island).
