After watching Namaste, I noticed a couple things very few people are talking about, and came up with a couple theories of my own on what is going on.
First, we found out who was shooting at Locke, Sawyer, Juliet and Miles when they shifted ahead in time and stole on of the canoes. Remember when they shifted through time and eneded up in a period where there was a new camp on the main island with Ajira accessories? You got it. It was Caesar and the gang who were shooting at them.
Now to more important things. I've read that people believe that there is a new timeline because of the shape of the Barracks in Namaste when Sun and Frank encounter Christian. The time is 2008, but things changed because the Losties changed things in the past when they were in the 70's. Because the losties changed things in the past, things are different on the Island, but the end result will be the same. Hence why faraday says whatever happened, happened. You can try to change the future all you want, but inevitably whatever happened or is supposed to happen will happen. You can delay or change reality, but as we've heard in this show many times, the universe will course correct itself.
Think back to Charlie and Desmond. Charlie was supposed to die, it was inevitable, Desmond could stop it or delay it and did, but the universe course corrected and Charlie eventually died. The same thing happened with Eloise and Desmond when Eloise knew the man would get killed by the scaffoling collapsing and crushing him. Her response to Desmond was eventually it would course correct cause that was supposed to happen.
The point I'm trying to get at is since the losties arrived on the island and have shifted through time, their actions caused changes in time and things are different because of the changes. Everything they've done from Locke going into Richard's camp in 1954, to Dharma in the 70's, they did change or dely fate for some people on the Island like Amy and killing Hostiles. The actions of the Losties in the Past has changed some of the settings in the future, such as the Barracks as Sun and Frank find them in 2008, but ultimately, anything that happened or is supposed to happen, will happen.
I think judging from previews and such, we will continue to see how decisions made by the losties in the past continue to have an effect on the future that Sun and Fank encounter. I also think somehow that it will be up to Sun, Frank, and Locke to fix the problem as Faraday put it "The record is spinning, we're just not on the song we want to be on" and bring them back to current time.
Also on another note, a couple questions I have are, where is Bernard, and Rose? What happened to the rest of the people that were moving through time? Did they shift back to the 70's as well and if so, did they join the Hostiles? This is one question that has bothered me since we haven't seen them. Theory by LostFanatic24
