On a routine flight to Guam in 2008, Ajira Airways flight 316 crashes onto a mysterious island. The survivors are few, and may include a guy called Caeser, a stewardess, and a marshal called Ilanna. Strangely enough, several of the other passengers and the pilot are no where to be found - not even their bodies. Perhaps there is also an empty coffin amidst the wreckage, which is even more puzzling. The survivors settle into their new home and await rescue. But during the course of this, strange things happen to them. For one, they discover a deserted beach camp with copious amounts of food. Secondly, there are hostile people (and monsters) living in the woods. They learn to become wary and defend themselves against the island's terrors. Through unknown circumstances, they obtain outriggers and guns. One day, they discover an outrigger is missing. They look to the ocean and see the hostile people of the island (yo! u know who they are) paddling away with their boat! They give chase, shooting at them. Apparently, the hostiles have a gun too. One of the survivors is shot. Then the boat of mysterious thieves completely vanishes!
"Guys, where are we?" one of the survivors says.
Meanwhile, the mysterious vanishing passengers of 316 have other work to do. Just as Sawyer, Juliet, Locke and co. were the only one's to travel in time with the island, the same applies to Jack, Sayid, Kate and co. Instead of landing on the island in 2008 with Ajira, they crash land some time in the 70's, where the askew timeline came to rest with their pals in tow. The survivors of 815 are special and important in that sense. As for Lapidus, the island has always been drawing him to it. He was supposed to fly Oceanic instead of Seth. Since then the island has been calling him. And apparently, when he flew of with the O6 in the helicopter, his work still wasn't done there. He still has some part to play along with the rest of them.
To answer the title of this theory: the plane crashed 30 or 40 some years after the O6 crashed. Theory by Butterbeef
