On the passengers of 815 and their doings. The whisperers are the time-travelers who get to watch themselves crashing on the island and coping with various situations.
Why do they whisper?
Well, take future time-traveling Sawyer for instance. He wouldn't want past just-crashed-on-the-island Sawyer to freak out by confronting his own self!!! Like that's even possible...
And that explains why the ones who whisper are heard more than once pondering on whether they should stop someone from doing something. And that explains why the ones who whisper are heard more than once mentioning names of people that are not around at the time.
Now on for a real task: based on whisper transcripts can we guess who is whispering what and why???
Here's one example: season 1, episode 16(outlaws) Sawyer comes face-to-face with a bore that has messed his tent, at the same time come the whispers. A girl is heard saying that maybe the whisperers should just talk to him. That could be Charlotte desperately looking for any kind of help out of the time-traveling situation that has resulted in her deteriorating health problems. But then a whispering guy is heard saying that it would be wrong to alert Sawyer to their presence because that could ruin everything. That sensible man could be Faraday who is very painfully aware that time is not something one can carelessly manipulate to meet one's own needs. Theory by Beth
