Ok, so we all know (or we all should know) that when we first met Benjamin Linus/Dean Moriarty/Henry Gale, he was caught in a net and using the name of an African American who had crashed onto the island in a hot ar balloon. Assuming that all of this is true, I think that one part of the balloon will eventually be deemed more than just an easter egg: The Widmore logo.
If this balloon is connected to Widmore, what if the real Henry Gale was as well? Widmore was searching for the island at the time, so why not hire a man to try to find the island in a very original way. Now I don't really know who Jennifer was (the woman Henry wrote to), but I can only assume that if he was sent by Widmore, she was unaware and simply thought that he was going on a simple trip. Please comment your theories about Jennifer, and whether or not she is significant.
Now, here's the fun part. Benjamin Linus or Richard Alpert or some other Other notices the balloon, so they report to Ben, who goes to investigate (or some other complex series of events that would lead to Ben going to this balloon). Perhaps Ben recognized the man, or maybe he just noticed the Widmore logo, but he knew that this man was working for Widmore, so he killed him and took on his identity in order to do whatever it was he was doing when he got caught by Rousseau (perhaps going shopping for John Locke merchanidise?) Please make comments, I love the possibility of the Widmore logo being significant, but please comment!!! Theory by JBR4ever
