Mrs. Hawking was seen in the (Lighthouse?) Dharma station in LA. On her computer screen it said event window determined. I believe this means that the O6 will have a specific amount of time to arrive on the island.
Why?
Because MRs. Hawking has figured out when and where the island will flash into the present, But I also think there is a set limit to the amount of time they have during the window. I guessing it's a very small one, hence all the urgency.
With the islands time hopping becoming wilder and wilder this could be the O6's last chance to get to the island by this means anyway.
I think this could be pretty close, this could support my previous theory about the O6 being the ones in the canoes in the little prince. as they too would be hopping through time. though unaware of each other. Theory by Soundwave815
