I’m going to start doing research, and reviewing of season 1 and on.. but here are some theories…
THE NOTEBOOK
Faradays notebook, this link seems to have a bunch of random notes in it, which maybe he doesn’t understand. He met Desmond in the past, and meeting him help solve his equation problem. But how did this happen? If you think about it, time travel doesn’t work if it never happen right? No matter what you change in the past, it already happen. So how did he get that equation on the paper if he never knew it in the first place? You know, to give it to himself thru desmond. That seems like a strange time loop. Faraday must have had help later on, which he sent back to himself at a later time. For example the rat going thru the maze, which he later showed how to go thru the maze.
So this link might have information he doesn’t understand because one point before arriving to the island he mind traveled back, to write down the notebook.

WHY PEOPLE DON’T REMBER THINGS
Desmond just so happens to “remember” Faraday visiting him, Jin and Caruso meet, yet she never thought “hey that’s the guy who vanished in front of me”.
What if the people stuck in the timeline aren’t just traveling in time, but also the islands memories.
Richard knew locke was going to go back where he didn’t remember, so we know he knew about the whole “time jump” problem, so why didn’t he mention this, I donno, before it happen…. Its because the time jumping was an alteration to his memory.
Ethan Rom didn’t know locke when he was alive.
So what made this happen? BEN! He wasn’t expose to spin the wheel, locke was. So this time ripple effect happen. Nothing changed because you can’t change the past, but you can change your memory (look at what faraday did!)
HAS THIS HAPPEN BEFORE?
I can’t remember what episode, but there is a dead guy cutting a tree, he is talking to locke. Remember his noise bleeds? This is a ripple time traveler, some failed experiment gone wrong? He is dead, the tree has already been cut down, but locks memory of him keeps popping back and restarting.
Of course peoples noises are bleeding, there minds are being remade and transformed. Charlotte before she died remember a man telling her not to come back to the island or she will die, if someone told me that I would stay far far away, but maybe she didn’t know until after the time ripple effect.
THE SPINNG DISK THEORY
The time travel wheel is like the center of a clock wheel… it turns forward with time, when Ben turned it, it got stuck, which made the time skip around like a record. Locke had to fix the wheel. Which made the losties stuck in 1979 for 3 years. (since the wheel is now spinning normally)
HOW WAS THE ISLAND FOUND IF IT KEEPS MOVING
The hatch station.. when desman turned the key he stopped the system, maybe this slowed the island down. They saw a bleep pop up at the winter station, so they could track it, kind of.. but they couldn’t 100% find it, until the turned off the looking glass station.
HOW TO GET TO THE ISLAND
I’m not sure how this works, but maybe it is a ruff ride to get into the shield around the island. This could be the reason why they drugged Juliet. That’s why the airplanes/helicopters have a very hard time coming into it.
Its interesting to think that the three airplanes that we know about all had someone dead on it

Somehow Eco brother was dead… so Eco was the key, then there was Christian, so Jack was the key..
DEAD PEOPLE WALK!
Of course, they are alive, its before they killed themselves. Maybe that’s a key feature? (You are alive in the past, since you haven’t killed yourself)
WHERE ARE THE PEOPLE CONVERTED FROM THE PLANE?
I think the smoke must “turn” people, so they can be apart of the island, it “protects” the island from these travelers by turning them somehow, maybe clearing there memory from memory/time travel? That’s why they disappeared so quickly, I don’t think it was “the others”…
