I just occurred to me last night - reading people talking about Jughead being in 'The Swan' behind that concrete wall, or powering some sorta electromagnetic reactor in 'The Incident Room'(shown in the Via Domus game).
I was looking through Lostpedia for various places that we might see more of this season where we might see it again.
Like places they could have buried it safely, and also pondering about the plausibility/possibility of someone figuring out a way to 'bleed-off' the energy/radiation/fuel from Jughead - and theoretically turn it into a power resource.
I saw the "Hostiles Camp" with the all the Tents (that I thought were Yurts when I first saw them), and I remembered the "Decoy Village" with it's Yurts made of less than traditional materials that looked scavenged.
I've always thought there was more to the Decoy village & The Door - and I struck me that the "The Door" would be a good place to stash a Bomb. And if they setup the Decoy Village from parts of the Hostiles' tents would be brilliant.
Someone comes poking around there and they see the Decoy village - think it's something, only to find that out "The Door" Entrance (at least the obvious one - there could be another) is a 'fake', whoever finds it is likely to feel they've been fooled, and then go looking for 'the real village' = The Barracks or one of the Stations or whatever.
How likely is it that someone is going to start drilling into that rock wall?
I'd say its HIGHLY unlikely - unless maybe someday a satellite or something? detects some sort of Radiation leaking from that area or a higher than normal level of 'background radiation' (especially compared to the average levels elsewhere on The Island)- or a specific type of radiation = possibly of the type that Jughead was made of?
I read the entry for The Door and I know it mentions a "rock wall" - not concrete... But here me out, I started to go hunt a screen cap at one point to see if it was a "natural rock wall" OR concrete. Then it hit me, that even if the Others had access to (or the ability to make) the large volume of concrete probably needed to safely bury Jughead - a Concrete wall behind the fake "The Door" Entrance, would be a serious give-away.
It would blow the whole 'psuedo-primitive island dwellers lining in yurts act' the others seemed prepared to put on at a moments notice (so to speak) to mislead any unexpected visitors to the Island.
And the real living quarters of The Others, their purpose there, their past, etc. (IE = all the stuff we've had slowly revealed to the viewers.)
It's possible that they put a rock slab or somehow engineered "the Door" with a rock slab facade over concrete and some sorta tunnel leading down to where they buried it, or maybe they just buried it the best they could, and it still leaks some radiation - and they don't spend much time there (even if they once did).
With the upside, that if the Army ever got around to coming to look for their Bomb & people - and found the Decoy Camp they might think it was where the Army people/scientists lived till they died from gradual exposure over time.
The wouldn't be bodies left to find, but no one is gonna keep Rad-soaked corpses around, and people that were theoretically living there would've realized (too-late) that the area was harmful and moved on - possibly dying elsewhere or whatever.
One last thing, I noticed looking into this theory = the Logo for "The Door" also looks like a box, with the word Dharma over it, and then a 3-sided cover/box over that, why not 2 boxes? Or just a simple Rectangle with DHARMA written across it plainly?? Theory by JamesLocker
