I was thinking about This Place Is Death and when Charlotte was having her flashes... she said 'Turn it up! I love Geronimo Jackson!' it reminded me of something... there was a Gernimo Jackson album in the Swan! We also know that Charlotte grew up on the island among the Dharma Initiative, but her and her mother left her father there. So... the thought crossed my mind...
could Radzinsky be Charlotte's DAD????
Think about it... Radzinsky and his wife had Charlotte around 1970/71... right around the same time the Dharma Initiative is forming. Radzinsky, the brilliant scientific mind that he is, gets an offer to work for Dharma. SO, with a new daughter to support, he takes the whole family to the island. That would make Charlotte just a baby at the first days of Dharma, and a young child a bit into it's early years. Radzinsky does his work for Dharma and ends up in the Swan pushing the button. After selfishly moving them all to the island, the idea of being without her husband for six months (or whatever his time down there was) is too much for her... so she takes Charlotte and leaves him. He finds out they left him... and he's devastated. Hence, he shoots himself with a shotgun.
How this all ties in with the blast door map, IF it does at all, I'm not sure. But, there's some awfully depressing writing "I think therefore I am depressed" in Latin on that map! Also, the Latin could suggest he is an Other, posing as Dharma... maybe he joined up with them, angry at Dharma for their part in the loss of his family? Anyway, the depression spirals... time to reach for that shotgun.
Happy Valentine's Day.
I may be way off base here, but... could be???? Theory by H Bomb
