(Im from Argentina so, I didnt watched 5x07 yet, I can watch it tonight online).
Ok, as the title says, the return of the Oceanic Six to the island will not affect or stop the time flashes because they ALREADY STOPPED when Locke turned the wheel and put it back to the right place.
This, more than a theory, is asking a question, a very important question that i´ve never read anyone asked before.
First, lets say that in episode 5x05 "This Place..." we learn that the flashes are becoming to appear in short periods of time, they stopped being like, hours between them, and started being minutes or worst, seconds. Thats when Charlotte dies, the time between the flashes its getting shorter.
And, te obvious, "ZombieJack´sdadChristianSheperd" said they have to bring them all back to the island, same as Ms. Hawking, and a lot of characters more (I was so tired to hear the same thing over and over again from all of them).
So, here´s the deal, if the time between flashes was getting shorter, how did Jin (and I think everyone of the losties on the island) manage to become Dharma members, get the suits and being able to drive one of the cars? That takes a lot of time, time that the flashes, if they keep going after locke turned the wheel, couldnt let because the time between them was getting shorter.
I can only assume that the flashes stopped (or the time bewteen increased)when locke turned the wheel and put it on the right place. And that leads me to a question, why did everyone said the O6 must get back to stop the flashes when the only problem was to turn the wheel again? ¿Christian couldn´t told Locke to only turn it and not doing anything else? ¿Or Christian knew Locke would die trying to get them back and he was trying to get rid of him (because locke was destinated to replace him) BUT he didnt knew locke could make it?
Well, I think the O6 get back with a flash outside the island, a flash of the entire island moving to a different place (in space and time, as the island always do in order none finds it) that didnt affect the people inside the island who were in the dharma era and got the time to became dharma workers.
Thats it, sorry if its complete nonsense but I think its an important question if the whole "the O6 must get back to stop the flashes" thing was a lie, ¿why they have to be there? Theory by Nahue
