Sorry for bothering, if this theory is posted by someone else. I followed the recent theories on this site and couldn't see any similar theory to this:
In Ep 4x13, Locke asked to Ben that how can he move the island. Ben replied him that Jacob didn't tell him how to move the island to Locke because he wants Ben to do that. And after that, he added " the one who turns the wheel can never comeback."
Also we know that In Ep 3x12 Ben explained to Hurley that moving the island is a last resort because it has unpredictable consequences. Ben knew that when he "moved" the island, the island just doesn't move in space, it moves both in "time". By "unpredictable consequences" , my guess will be Ben is thinking about not where the island will be sent, but to which time(date), will it be sent. The island could be sent to future instead of past or vice versa. Ben also knew that the one who turns the wheel will move in both time and space, just like the island "moves".
The possibility of Ben move to the same time(date) with the island is a very very small in maths because, also in real life, we don't know when the time started and when the time will end. So there are up to infinite possibility of dates over two cases (Ben and the island will be sent to the same time(date) )In Maths it is equal to zero. The one who turns the wheel can never comeback because they don't exist in the same time interval together. When Ben traveled to 2005 the island traveled to God knows which time. So in 2005 there is no island.
I think and my Lost senses tells me that Ben will find a way. First, He has to know which date the island sent and finds a way to time travel and finally he must find the coordinates of the island at that specific time. He has a huge work to do:)
