I thought it would be good if I clarified a few things and added new information about my previous theory “ Where has the island gone”.
But first of all, I would like to thank everyone for their kind comments. I am glad that some of you liked it.
As I said, I wrote it very quickly, and I admit I should have checked a few things before posting it, or at least explaining a few points. So thank you trs10882 for pointing out the holes in my theory. But again, I do not claim to have the right answer. It is just a theory.
First of all, I should have developped the wormhole theory and explain how the original inhabitants of the island happened to be on the island, or how the Black Rock, Rousseau, Desmond, and the plane in which Eko’s brother died were caught in the wormhole.
There are many theories on dark Ufo explaining what they are and suggesting that many can be found in different locations on Earth. Therefore I will skip the description and details to just say that wormholes enable speed light travel from one location to another, might it be two planets, two universes or between past and future.
Now I have never traveled in any, but I doubt that any of the planes/ships that found themselves on the island would realize that they traveled through a wormhole.
However, I believe that they all did except for ancient civilizations, like the ones that apparently left inscriptions on the island.
Well, early civilizations were sailors and could have crossed those wormholes, but I tend to believe that they used gateways.
We saw a very enigmatic stone structure near the camp where Walt was hold by the others in season 2. If you look carefully at the shape, it looks like a chet/ number 8 in hebrew, which also means gateway. Such stones similar in shape can also be found on Earth and are believed to be gates to other worlds (like the famous Stonehenge). I think that ancient civilizations that lived on the island could have used such gates to get to the island.
As for the other inhabitants of the island, that is the hostiles, I would like to make it clear that they had no part in the Dharma Initiative’s plan to save the world. On the contrary, it was suggested that the DI had problems with the hostiles, who seem quite desperate to save the island instead.
As for Ben and Jacob, that is another story all together and I will be very careful not to include them in either group.
Anyway, my point was that the DI had used people such as Libby and Mrs Hawkings and maybe others (not the Others!!!) to change events.
Which brings me to the future problem with my theory. It has been pointed out that the DI has been operating as early as 1970 and there is a chance that they discovered the island during that time. And it is clear that the computers and the old technology used by the DI indicate that they moved to the island before our time.
But it does not explain how Libby and Mrs Hawkings who are likely to work for the DI know so much about the future.
Mrs Hawkings told Desmond he had to press the button to save the world, which implies that she knew what would happen to our world if he did not.
Libby appeared to Michael and told him not to press the bomb button.
My guess is then that Libby and Mrs Hawkings have been to the future, and have seen how the world would disappear and are trying to prevent such an outcome.
Now there is a chance, that they are still sometime somewhere in the future past the time when the world dies. And I am sure that this place and time has something to do with the island and the DI and therefore space!
As for the austronaut suits, I was mainly refering to the suits that the DI members wear. You can see a good picture of Kelvin wearing one of them on Wikipedia site:

Now I might be wrong; the Apollo Bars, the suits, the bunkers might be very small clues that the island is somewhere in space.
But the Crab Nebula clue could corroborate my theory. Some time ago, when the producers mentioned the show will all end up somewhere outside the Crab Nebula,
I made some research about the Crab Nebula and here is what I found:

For those who do not know Orion, well, he was a GIANT huntsman of Greek mythology. He was venerated as a hero and was referred to as the “HUNTER” of primordial times, whom Zeus placed among the stars as the constellation of Orion.
The constellation itself forms an Orion standing next to the river with 2 hunting dogs fighting the Taurus. The pattern of stars that forms Orion was seen as forming part of an image of a shepherd with his sheep.
So far, I am sure that those images of Orion remind you of three main characters of the show: John Locke as the “Hunter”, Vincent as the “dog” and Christian/or Jack as the Shepherd.
But more strikingly, the Orion constellation is also referred by the name of Jacob on some medieval star charts!
Just as Jacob’s staff which can be found in the DI staff logo, takes its name from Jacob and Orion!!!!
Now is it all a coincidence?
Let’s go further, could the four toe statue be a homage to that great ancient hero Orion, to the constellation where the island is, and to Jacob?
Now I could go on with another theory about Jacob the sheperd and Esau the hunter, which links it all to Orion and more precisely to John/Ben and Jack/Christian. But I wil probably wait. So far, I have been to unexplored grounds, and I see that some of you already disagree.
