This is an extension of my first post, if you haven't read the 1st one yet, go read it It's entitled "The Whispers, Adam & Eve, and Timelines." Well Lets Get Into Shall We?
As we all know LOST is famous for hinting future events in dialog and in the background of scenes... Heck maybe Desmonds famous saying "see you in another life, brotha" is a hint in itself. Since there are multiple timelines running on the island maybe landing in another timeline alters your fate or what your destiny was meant to be. Say that using a different Method to reach the island or not staying on the correct bearing for the present time on the island you end up in another timeline either forward or backwards in time... This will allow you to tamper with Destiny and occur in a different timeline... As we see in the video with Mr. Hallawax the scientist sent a bunny to the future, but their calculations were incorrect and the bunny stayed in the same timeline [there is evidence of this: the moment before the bunny reappears, time had to catch up to it, if the calculations were right the bunny would never had shown up instead it would be in a different timeline]. Since the bunny was duplicated [so to speak] they could not touch each other or a time paradox would have been created. If the bunny would of been sent to another timeline no Paradox would have been made. WOW...
So how does this new addition relate to my earlier post? Well my guess is if Penny and Desmond Do get to the island and are indeed in a different timeline. And if they are in a different timeline, I'm sure alot of those whispers will be from them, from the 50's.
So this also poses another question. Everyone needs to go back to the island does that mean they need to be in the same timeline? and if so, what problems will this generate...
One More Thing:
The effects of being in an alternate timeline, maybe entering a new timeline has different effects on each person. Maybe Richard Alpert can not age, Mikhail was hard to kill, maybe all are safe from cancer, but also giving birth is eliminated. Say you were not pregnanat when you entered a this new timeline, but somehow you get pregnant in the timeline. This is also a paradox, because in this new timeline a life is being born that was not meant to be. Electromagnetic properties is vital to this show, whatever answer we will be consuming in seasons 5 and 6, i am almost certain that electromagnetic prop. will be apart of the answer. But this is LOST who knows.
Isn't this such a great show. What show can be on hiatus and still have its fans speculating about it? LOST is one of a kind.
