This is my first little idea/theory/post on this site so don't rip me up too much. :D
Ok my theory deals with the end of There's No Place Like Home, Cabin Fever and Ji Yeon.
I was thinking in terms of the format that the flashback and flash forward was presented in Ji Yeon, where we were made to think that the flashes were from the same time but they were actually from past and future, and I tried applying it to other flashes...
Basically, what if the scenes of Locke being born in Cabin Fever are actually taking place after There's No Place Like Home? As we all saw in the end of season 4 Locke is dead and his body has to come back to the island with everyone else. Well with all of this talk of resurrection and worm holes and time being unstable around the island, what if resurrecting Locke entails him being sent back in time and reborn, but with all of the knowledge he had gained somewhere embedded in his brain. Hence, Richard using whatever method to go find Locke and test him about what was his. The flashes of Locke as a small child could end up with Richard taking him back to the island and the older Locke flashes in Cabin Fever could be the original time line.
This doesn't prove much and isn't actually much a theory but I was just thinking that would be interesting if it were the case because it would show we can't trust when these flashes are which could lead to us having actually witnessed some course corrections in everyone's flashbacks.
I don't know, just a thought, tell me what you think!
