Was thinking some more about the incident and the blast door map the other day so I thought I'd record what we know about the incident.
Note: CV = confirmed to be "Cerberus Vent"
Cerberus = confirmed to be the smoke monster
Smokey = Existed prior to Dharma, evidenced by Alpert's reaction to Locke's smokey drawing in Cabin
Fever (Scene took place in late 50's/very early 60's)
-Map is made in some "invisible ink" that can't be see without the black light, this was probably done to preven those watching from pearl station to see it
BLAST DOOR MAP MARKINGS:
Cerberus Station believed to have been abandoned due to AH/MDG incident of 1985
Catastrophic malfunction of cerberus system
There are 4 marked cerberus vents
- three are near the Swan (the hatch)
CV II inactive since accident
- Vent II is in close proximity to the Swan
THE SWAN ORIENTATION:
There was an incident causing an electromagnetic build up
Required button to have to be put in place
My theory:
In Exodus, the smoke monster attempted to drag Locke into a hole going unground. I think this hole along with Ben's secret door in Shape of Things to Come are entrances to Cerberus Vents. Dharma managed to capture the smoke monster (possibly by blocking off the vents) and built the Cerberus station to experiment with it. In 1985, something went wrong and smokey escaped. Some how smokey disrupted the anomaly in the hatch. This was the infamous "incident."
