Ok this is a bit crazy, but completely logical...........
i've been thinking about what these bad things could be that happened because jack left the island? why is it jacks fault?
the most logical explanation for this i could come up with is.............
The incident that occured in the dharma days was actually done in the future. when jack left and the island moved back in time, i think it was supposed to be moved by a short amount of time. however when desmond turned the fail safe, the numbers that were keeping the electromagnetism under control was disabled. then by ben turning the wheel massive amounts of electromagnetism are emmited and the island goes all crazy, and starts flipping into different timelines, the zodiac crew and faraday were sent to the dharma timeline.
the island folk get stuck in different times. this would explain the
whispers, peoples conscience from different timelines as the remaining losties and the people on the islands timeline flip between each other.
i think jack comes into this as being attached to the island in some way, by being a part of or by being the islands/jacobs constant. it makes sense to think this is why jack leaving caused terrible things to happen. maybe he is the constant to christian as christian is seen visiting jacks timeline off the island, and we know jacob seems to be a family occasion for the shephard's with only claire and christian being in the cabin. why else would you have 2 relatives of jack there if it wasn't jack related?
all this makes me think about this awaited saviour of the island, is it jack? could it be that the oceanic06 get back to the island, but it has to be the date of the original crash. this would explain why claire tells kate "whatever you do don't bring him back" could this be because he was not born at the time of the original crash, and bringing him back will do something very bad, also by doing this will it bring locke back to life? we see him wake
up after the original crash and he is reborn/repaired. could this be why jack and the oceanic06 seem to appear far away from the plane and in strange locations after the crash..... by jack returning to the island
as it's constant, he restores it to one timeline.
now it would also make sense that, in the pilot when jack wakes up if you look closely you can see ben's baton lying next to him. this seems a massive clue, we know that if jack has traveled back in time then he was at some point before in contact with ben. we know ben is not allowed back to the island but in the ending scenes of locke in the coffin (There's no place like home part 3) Ben seems to be implying that he is going back. i think this is relevent because the rest of the oceanic 6 wake up with no bumps or bruises in the pilot, but jack has a few scratches and a vertical gash along his back, could it be that jack had to fight ben to stop him coming back and ben hits jack across the back with the baton, and somehow jack stops him coming back. I think by jack getting
back, the island has to course correct and the oceanic06 are placed concsiencely in to the timeline of the datethey went back to, could the pilot even be a flashforward of the 06 returning. (it would be wrong to say a flashforawrd per se, but a kinda course correction, if you like)
Could it be that jack's conscience is jacob caused by jack returning to the island in the future, by restoring the island to a single time line he becomes part of the island. but can not co-exist with his physical form. apart from the play on names (jack being short for jacob) there are a few quotes that make think there is play on jack being a part of
or being jacob....
"i had a girlfriend once who said i talked in my sleep, whatever it was she didn't like it" Jack (raised by another)
does this state that jack is communicating on the island through his sub conscience???
"you are a leader, a great man, but this makes you lonely, frightened, and angry"
achara (stranger in a strange land)
does she know jack's true self is Jacob????
"he who walks among us, but is not one of us. that's what it says, your tattoo"
Isabel (stranger in a strange land)
does this mean that by course correction in the future jack is jacob? could a stranger in a strange land be jacob to jack? jacob being Stranger on island, that is also a stranger to jack but is jack!!!
anyways guys, thanks for reading and please leave comments.
