This isn't so much of a mind blowing theory, but more of an observation on what has been said to viewers thus far.
First I would like to point out the frustration people had, myself included, with the Paolo and Nikki story. I felt the episode was done well, however their role was not as promised. Darlton told us back in the middle of season three we might see the couple again.
Rousseau was promised to have her story told back in the end of season one. The LOST crew never specified when we would get to experience the French woman's adventures. In the episode, The Constant, we saw Widmore buy a journal on the Black Rock, which coincidentally is the ship Rousseau crashed on the island.
Where does all this fit together with what we have seen up to now, and what we are promised to see? At comic-con the audience was shown a video by Marvin Candle and what we are left to assume is Daniel Farraday holding the camera.
My theory with all the information above is that when the island moved it went back in time, and with the movement in time and space all the dead bodies were brought back to life. This would bring our thieving couple back to life, the French woman would be alive and able to show her story, Alex and Carl would be back (I don't know how much that really matters now with Ben off the island), and lastly our Dharma Initiative would be lifted from the purge and able to raise hell on the island. There are obviously holes to this theory, but each theory for this show has major flaws.
The biggest contradiction to this thought is that this is very possible for on-island story, but this would also mean all the 815ers that have perished would be back on the show, which we all know isn't happening. Probably not the best theory but I thought it was a neat idea.
