Ok, so follow me...most of us have seen the newest "secret" Dharma video which was "leaked" at the Comic Con '08 Lost panel today. (If you haven't, here ya go : http://www.thetailsection.com/lost-news/lost-comiccon-panel-and-marvin.php || use that link, it's the last video of the 6)
We hear a voice talking to Pierre (formerly known as Marvin Candle, Edgar Hallowax, etc.) which sounds shockingly familiar. If you listen closely enough, it sounds just like our good friend Daniel Faraday, Chuck Taylor wearing smarty who crashed on the island with Lapidus and crew. We last saw Faraday in the Zodiac boat with 5 randoms as the beloved island was disappearing. Now we've heard Damon and Carlton say "where and when", referring to the island, in a lot of recent interviews, who's to say that Daniel and his Zodiac friends didn't get magically whisked away 30 years in the past to wash up on the island as Pierre and other early Dharma members were present?
It all makes sense, Daniel would be the PERFECT man to help Chang get his video transmitted 30 years into the future, or just help him store it somewhere to be found 30 years from the said date. Actually, we don't really know if it was a past broadcast or not (the "secret" Dharma vid, that is), because in the video there was some technical disruptance during the part where he talked about how the video itself came to be.
Ok, back to the cameraman being Daniel.. Faraday's little notebook, full of past events, present events and future events to come, could be a very big help to Pierre Chang and his colleagues, because it could tell Pierre and their colleagues a lot of things they need and didn't know.
I sound like I'm talking out of my ass, but think about it, Daniel HAS to go somewhere, or end up somewhere or somewhen and they didn't make it to Penny's boat in time and they aren't going to wash up on land anytime soon, so food will become a factor and I doubt Faraday and crew are going cannibal. So it would make sense that they too "disappeared" and traveled to a different point in time floating around the island, either the one we watched disappear or a different one in time, in my theory, roughly the one in 1974.
Now, why the 2004 island (with Sawyer, Juliet and friends) and Faraday could be in two different times, I do not know, but we can't deny that Sawyer and Juliet could possibly be right next to Faraday as he's filming Mr. Pierre. It's all possible, in this show, anything is, haha.
Another possibility could be that Faraday has been time-traveling all along and that's why his notebook is so important in the next season. How else would Pierre know about Bush, the internet and how he himself dies other than someone who has seen all these things?
Talk about it, I'm interested in hearing your qualms or if you agree or not, this is only my 'theory'.
