Okay. My last theory failed, so I decided not to mention it forward. However, you'll see some some things there that are connected to a previous theory.
And first I should bring my standard excuses: for my English (I'm from Russia actually) and for an occasion where this theory was posted on net by other human - in that case this human should contact me in ICQ: 280442439. And so on.
So, let's begin. I recently noticed that we have too many board games in show. And all of them show us what will happen next and are very important things to understand some theories and certain events. The whole story begin in pilot series: Locke teaches Walt how to play backgammon. He tells him about two sides: dark and evil and Walt begins playing. The fight of darkness and light (maybe Ben and Widmore, but it could be Jacob vs Christian) began from this moment.
Next we got chess in the Michail's computer. Locke wins - it is a sign .Of what? Well, I think that it means that Locke's attempts to sabotage rescue from Islands will be successful. But after that Locke destroyed this place with a computer. It means that Locke's final attempt won't be so good as others. And it matches with events.
4th season. Locke, Hurley and Sawyer are playing some kind of "Diplomacy" board game. And Hurley said very, very interesting words about Australia. Well, if we remember where 815 was flying we can make plenty of surprising suggestions.
It is a sign too - but of nasty things. Ben (or Jacob) are losing his fight against evil and Australia (Island in that case) is lost for him . And, of course, Hurley said that it is a key to victory - and we can see it in show too. Island is the key to victory in that endless fight. But Ben cannot move to Island - that's why it is lost. Later on we can see attack from Keamy's men and that matches with game.
In the end of season Hurley is playing chess in asylum. And wins - but in his mind he was playing with Mr Eko. I think that Eko represents light in this fight, but Hurley wins. That's the last sign - fight is lost for Ben. It's a checkmate for him.
So, we can make a lot of suggestions about it:
1)Island is captured by Dharma. Yep, this is the most popular version of "bad things" and it is well connected to things, which I described higher. In that case Widmore is from Dharma - and he won.
2)Jacob vs Christian. Well, we don't know much about them, but their fight is well connected to signs too. All of games appear just before important events, such as attack of people from freighter, so...
And so on. Unfortunately, I didn't remember all of board games, so, if you can tell more about it, write your thoughts in comments.
P.S. And last recommendation. I am reading a very interesting book now - it is called "A Brief history of time" by Steven Hawking. It is obviously a best book for a Lost fan for now - just because you can read plenty of interesting things there, which can explain many events on the show. My next theory will be based on this book.
Good luck in revealing Lost mysteries!
